If I had to guess, I’d say Base Unlimited had a larger production. Real print numbers are not known though
But I would not use the word “rare” to describe either of them.
Not sure about VS or Web, but the English 1st edition Base Set has without any doubt way more print runs than for example an unlimited edition Japanese L1 or E1 set, or the unlimited edition Korean Base Set. I know we see English cards more than Japanese cards in our western world in general, but considering I’ve seen quite a few completed 1st edition Base Sets thus far, yet only two singles (so very far from a full set) for the Japanese unlimited edition L1 set - first seen by anyone here on the forum a few months back - says enough.
But for English sets the 1st edition Base Set is indeed the shortest printed set. Across all sets in all languages definitely not, though.
Thanks you always provide valuable insight. I guess we never really know how many of each sets are printed, but you are right I’ve seen very few Korean unlimited cards. Other foreign base sets are also quite rare in the last couple of years i only rarely see Chinese unlimited holos.
