Hi, can anyone explain what could be expected for import duty taxes coming into the US currently if I purchase cards from Italy? The amount is around 5000USD. I’m trying to work out a deal and figuring out what the damage is. Thanks!

There should be little to no duties. However if you have not registered with US customs as a importer you will need to, as the total declared value is over 2500$. I just had a package of topsun cards get stuck in customs for a week because they couldnt find my email to let me know i needed to complete form 5106. Luckily they contacted me when they did or the cards were scheduled to return to sender today… Just arrived safely!

For me the order was shipped using Parcelforce who is US delivery partners with FedEx. Someone from the FedEx Trade Networks, their customs brokerage division, contacted me about filling out the form. I did it through Docusign. I’m not entirely sure how to submit it without a customs broker however you may be able to. Do you know what shipping service you will be using? You may be able to reach out to FedEx Trade Networks prior to the shipment if you plan on getting it shipped through them.

Pretty sure the seller is shipping Fedex International Priority
If the seller is going to properly declare the item and it is over $2500 you will need the form filled out. I am sure you could reach out to Fedex trade networks once a shipping label is created or even before in order to be set up properly. Although i had $0 in taxes and duties for the topsun cards declared at 5k, there was a 37$ processing fee which came in the mail a week later which i paid online to fedex.
