Love it, I do the same, teaches them a lesson to pay asking price if they see a good deal.

Me ? Or the buyer?

I was just joking, but this is literally exactly what that seller does lol.

Love it.

Funny story. I did this three weeks ago. Guy tried to haggle me (within 15$) on a really low pop card. I ended up pulling it, listing it for double, and selling for asking within the hour.

Believe it or not, this is also a good method when you are NOT getting close offers. If you don’t have to move the card, the perception is that people are offering you close to ask, so you raise. People seem to start offering more when I do this.

It has to be done within 5 days of listing though in my opinion

When I’m checking over my listings I do the same for some cards if they have some watchers and I’m underpriced to others or am the only one available. Have sold a few cards right after raising prices so I’ll continue to do it.

It makes the buyer think its worth more

Love it. I’ll almost always do this if I’m getting multiple offers near asking.

LOL, I singlehandedly caused him to raise a raw dark espeon from 150 to 400 in march.

I think that’s normal

There is something intoxicating about the Best Offer button. Sometimes I’ll land on a listing that’s actually less than what I paid for the same card just a day ago, buuuuut… has a Best Offer option, so why not send an offer for $50 less? I think most people find it harder to pay full price when there’s Best Offer available haha

All depends how quickly you wanna sell it lol

Exactly why take offers if not willing to budge on asking lol. I specifically look for listing with best offers if there are multiples in the same range. To each their own.

I agree with this. If you don’t want to accept offers don’t have that as an option. When I make offers I try to be respectful and not super low-ball people on what they’re asking for. I think that is a good reason to set your auto-decline on offers to filter out the low-ballers.

Why enable offers in the first place if you’re not planning on accepting something within 10%? If I made an offer on an item you’re selling and you counter with an offer higher than the listing price I’ll be much less inclined to buy anything from you; now or in future. Either don’t accept offers in the first place or raise your minimum offer threshold to be within a price you’d actually consider selling, otherwise you’re only wasting people’s time - including your own.

I’d say that unless you’re selling items for tens of thousands, if you’re not prepared to consider an offer within 10% of the asking price you’re probably listing your items too low to begin with.

Do I love it? No.
Do I hate it? No.
Do I think you’re an idiot? Yes.

Good idea. Always keeping the buyer on their toes.
