Im evil and i love it

Couldn’t have put it better myself. I get many of us deal with a lot of stupidity and assholes when selling on ebay but this just seems like being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole. Very hypocritical

On r/eBay the first advice always given is to turn off Best Offer. The main reason is to avoid having to deal with low-ball offers all day long. Turn off Best Offer and spend 10-30 minutes a day checking sold listings if your item is still priced correctly.
Totally agree with you here Pichu :3 If you not willing to consider a -10% offer, and raise the price afterwards you’re just a douchebag seller.

You can auto-decline offers below a certain threshold so you don’t have to deal with lowball offers.

You can also auto accept offers. I know how eBay works. The thing is OP not willing to sell for anything lower than his listing price, which he happily raises when people show interest. Another ‘fan’ being in the hobby for financial gain first, collecting second.

Wow the hypocrisy in this thread…

My favorite is when I see a psa card I am selling, sell at auction for higher than I have it listed. I immediately raise it above what the action sold for and they sell right away… Always check the buy it nows before you buy actions people!

With the way the market has been moving I’ve turned offers off on most listings, probably will turn them off on the rest soon.

I’ve had people send offers for 10% less than list on items with outdated pricing that was already 25%+ below recent market sales. You can bet I declined, removed best offer, and increased price by 50%. If the buyer had clicked BIN I would honor any price even if outdated, but if you send an offer you turn the sellers eyes to the item and get them to evaluate current pricing while considering your offer.

Its fair play given eBay enabling a “make an offer” option on asking a question for BIN items listed without best offer because I get about 30 of those messages a day lately where I’m not accepting offers. Same thing applies there in that I occassionally raise prices on people offering 5% off a BIN with no best offer.

The offers im getting are via direct message. None of my listings allow best offers

I dont allow offers. These offers are all direct messages. None of my listings have offers as an option

None of listings allow offers. The potential buyer is just messaginng me the offer because the best offer option isnt available

Ive said this a few times now but i dont have offers available on any of my listings. Its buyers making offers via messages that cause me to act like this. If the price is the price why would they make an offer? It just makes me raise the price lol

Im happy with this potential buyer never dealing with me. I dont allow offers on my listings because im almost always the lowest priced item on ebay.

Thanks for the tip, I may have to do that as well!Usually I just sit on the item since I"m in no rush and relist 1-3 weeks later. I typically list around at or slightly above recent listings but slightly below current active listings.

This I find 100 percent acceptable. There have been times where I have forgotten about items I had listed with a BO that became underpriced, and all it took was a potential buyer “reminding” me about it with an offer for me to raise the price.

However, if I list a card with a BO, and that same day, a buyer makes an offer within 10 percent of the list price, I will either accept the offer or counter. I’ve never understood why sellers straight up decline offers within 10 percent of the list price, let alone intentionally raising the price after a legitimate offer is made. What is the point of putting a best offer option on the item then?

EDIT: I now see the OP has straight up Buy It Nows and doesn’t even allow offers, but there are absolutely sellers that do this.

You clearly got to much free time …

If that’s the case, don’t respond. Problem solved. Your initial post made it sound like you had the offer option on your listings.

@parkermrparker, You do know you can tag everyone that you quoted to say that you don’t allow best offers. It saves a lot of time. (just giving a tip, not being mean).

yikes lol

That’s the point… If your not willing to accept or work within a 10% lower range offer. Don’t enable best offer. Your just a dick wasting peoples time. You want it to sell for the price you listed keep ot turned off.
