If you were given a box of 4,000 random Pokemon cards..

If you were given a box of 4,000 random Pokemon cards… every month, what would you do?

What’s the best way to get rid of random, bulk cards you don’t want. Are there Pokemon dealers that will buy quantities of cards at a decent price?

I would organize them all in piles by set, then organize each pile by ascending set number. Then I would take out each card I don’t already have and out them in a binder. And each card I do already have would go in my giant box of cards, which is organized by year of release. If I were to form a complete set of doubles, or even just a comolete set or uncommon/common doubles, j would sell it in eBay.

…I like organizing:)

To piggy back off this, they usually only take near mint bulk. So if it’s a bunch of extra cards that you’re getting from purchasing people’s lots, not every card may qualify to be traded in depending how they treated them.

There are various Facebook Pokémon groups where people request bulk to purchase. Alternatively a lot of people mix in say one rare or other types or cards and sell as random bundles. Ie $20 gets you one Holo, one non holo rare and 15 common/uncommon cards. Not sure how popular they are but I imagine casual types would be happy with that to get some cards for cheap for their kids etc

They’re pretty popular. This is the main reason that places pay so much for your bulk, so they can resell it as lots.

We donate ours to CHOC (childrens hospital of orange county). Of course you all have your own local children’s hospitals and the like. Believe me, you’ll get a lot more out of it than a box of cards;)
