Feel like I saw a video with someone in a grandma basement buying up a bunch of 1st edition trainers at $40
I planned to get them but here, two under $80:
You can even get it for under 70 if you put the hours in.

Ill be honest, I got real sour taste in my mouth for how pokemon changed last year. The StOnKs and scalping and hoards of grown men stalking resuppliers. I really miss just being able to find some packs in store and buying a few instead of having to check multiple to stores to find packs for an average set. I understand not being able to find HF on shelves but all the ‘hype’ really killed modern for me last year. I was hoping things would settle down and get somewhat normal again this year but Im pretty sure that was just wishful thinking
Same as in 2000, no product on the shelves, in line at the distributors trying to get some product.
Actually there is way more product now as there was in 2000.
The auctions for the packs opens in a few minutes.
Is it going to be an exciting start, or an exciting end?

This deserves post of the year
Shocked to see rusty’s 1st ed box, did he end up getting another one?

Actually I think the auctions don’t start for another 24 hrs.
It’ll be interesting to watch for sure. I suspect it’ll start out slower since there will be so many auctions going at once. The main activity will probably happen near the end, but we’ll see!

Auctions start on the 4th so tomorrow. I would assume people won’t care much after tomorrow till the end, looks like all of the lots are just for a random pack not a specific #.

You are right, its 4/2 here today, forgot darn timezones! Damn you planetary rotation!
Well, no comes the fun part of trying to find 1st Edition Cards at a reasonable price . . .
Would assume start with 5/6’s and try to regrade at 6/7 and go from there?
PSA 10 1st edition cards would be all be under $10 if it wasn’t for this video pricing out tru collectors

I wouldn’t buy graded at all.

Not worth the hassle and time of trying to regrade 5/6 to 6/7s
Might get a lot of hate for this but I feel happy for him. Great video with amazing edits. Happy to see more exposure to the hobby. Scott, takes notes on editing!

My Guess is because the wave is a hype train, hype buyers buying hype cards. Trainers would be collectors buying to complete a set, these new people coming in aren’t collectors, but maybe they will be one day and then trainers may rise.
God I love this hobby.
