The problem is, it seems all of the copies have this issue at the top and bottom with the foil. Obviously as prerelease promos, they are wrapped in a half deck like this:
Have y’all had any issues like this? How does psa view this kind of stuff? I have a few raw copies and it looks like the edges aren’t really affected, but the foil layer itself looks…a little off? I don’t know how else to say it.
Any help would be great. I’m scared it’ll be very hard to grade this card as a 10 with this widespread issue. Thanks for listening
Sorry @cyberurchin, you and @ReganRampage are going to have to fight for the few 10 copies that will show up. If you want to grade yourself, buy in bulk asap and hope that some of the production doesnt have this issue. Best of luck on it. Wish that was more helpful.
I had a similar issue like this with a modern Snorlax promo I wanted in a 10. The English Radiant Eevee promos also had a similar issue. But PSA ended up being very generous on 10’s for both of them. On a $1.50 modern card like this, PSA will probably just give most of them a 10.
Thanks for y’all’s insight and advice! I will most likely try to buy a bunch a send the best ones, plan b is to buy one outright if it comes up. Appreciate the input, some niche goals in the hobby are tough to achieve haha
