its under 2 different lighting i cannot tell if its on the card or the case this is a psa 10 pikachu ex holon gold star card i asked the seller and he doesnt know since most seller has many many psa cards. what do you guys think?
Pretty easy to tell. Shine a light from an angle and see if the mark casts a shadow. If so, it’s on the case. If not, it’s on the card.
its on the card then… can this actually be passed as a psa 10? everything else seems virtually perfect but this dot seems a little too big for a single flaw
edit:i guess i will just take it since i have to really shine to see but guys do tell me if you think you would purchase a psa 10 in this condition
Buy the card not the grade
I have seen these marks on a few psa cases I looked with a magnifying glass under intense light at it seems to be the case like a plastic error oc a psa case lol they are square marks and u can see that they are actually transparent being part of the plastic rather than on the card
Here’s a thread about the same thing: www.elitefourum.com/t/psa-reholder-recase-new-case-is-worse-zard-1st-ed-psa-7/22670/1
The thread goes off the rails quite a bit, but it was enjoyable to read it again. So thanks for reminding me of it! ![]()
It’s on the case, not the card. It’s very common.
Because of those, I’m no longer grading any cards or buying any recently graded cards. Here’s my experience recently with PSA:
- Graded pack fresh shadowless charizard and came back with glue inside the case.
- Graded pack fresh shadowless Raichu and came back with a dirt spec inside the case.
- Decided not to grade any more cards for now and purchased a shadowless holo that has residue on it.
I understand a mistake here and there but I’ve seen a ton of these threads. Everyone just says to “get over it” until it happens to them on one of their top cards.
It’s on the case ![]()
