That other thread noticed the boxes trend at roughly twice the price of the highest priced PSA 10 card in the set. I’m not saying this is law, but if it were to be applied here Shadowless would be $20k+. Honestly I believe this is a fair price especially because you need to be buying these from trusted sellers who won’t lie to you about peeking in the top or something. I never really see boxes that even could be Shadowless, let alone are.
Wish I would’ve bought more at the time I started. Literally bought more then half of the holos in a 10 months before the price jump. Lucked out big time.
(Short story time) When I purchased my first three PSA 10 Shadowless (Mewtwo, Nidoking and Magneton) I remember paying around $200 a card, and it hurt because I felt that I was over paying…
Funnily enough, he had doubles of each… now that $200 a card doesn’t sound so bad…
I’d buy a PSA 10 trophy kanga, PSA 10 1st edition base Alakazam, PSA 10 1st edition bulbasaur, a PSA 10 1st edition PRERELEASE clafable, PSA 10 1st edition base kadabra… not sure what else, I have so many cards and stuff I want to purchase, but if I could buy them all at once it wouldnt be as satisfying!
Exactly!
I don’t get it why all say “Sealed Base Box”. Nice, you could technically buy 1 box than, or maybe not even anymore because after the recent sale, getting a box for 54k will be near impossible. Next sealed Base 1st/Shadowless box will be closer to 60k just due people seeing it scoring this high.
That’s why I said I would just buy 1st and Shadowless Venusaurs, it’s a card that will only go up in value just like Blastoise. Charizard has such a fixed price point, while the other two you could get more quantity of due nicer pricing and investment wise way better decision.
I said Shadowless… Not 1st ed. lol Though if I couldn’t find any boxes, I’d just buy the cards even if I have to overpay a bit to get some of them off collectors hands.
