I am curious how one may find out the actual amount printed of a promo like the recent Pokemon Center Rocket’s Tyranitar Promo?
I ask because it spiked after it left PC naturally and only has 26 listed on tcgplayer. I got several myself, but ~50% of my copies had the same exact damage to the left of the pupitar. Many others I’ve talked to did not even notice the damage until I pointed it out to them.
I’m curious what the raw pop of this card is, as my personal anecdote says the 10 rate will be extremely low as well.
That’s not true the promotion only lasted about 10 days, they’ve been sold out for about two weeks.
There were very few products that could get you actual cards and the ones that did sold out instantly. So people were left with playmats, sleeves, clothes, and pins to pick through, kinda like Pikachu/Eevee Pokemon together which were gotten from accessory bundles.
Ya I can see the category when I search for it, but they took it off the homepage and the promo is no longer added to the cart upon checkout like it was before.
Is it available for anybody else still? In the US it was gone quickly.
Try asking pokemon support. They could probably tell you if the order cant be fufilled for the card. As far as the amount I have no idea when they ran out. Even if it was 30 minutes it could still very well be thousands with todays hype.
I don’t think many people were that focused on these, it was not received for buying DR. It was for very specific unhyped products they were probably trying to clear out inventory with. The pop reports should help us know eventually but a lot of these will probably be one off in people’s binders and never see the market.
There is a metric 5hit ton of these. The prouducts they bundled them with were mostly junk stuff that wasn’t selling, besides the new Team Rocket stuff
I bought two orders and have no regrets. Are most of the items I got stock that wasn’t selling? Sure but it was a bunch of deck boxes and sleeves that look nice so just on that wasn’t a complete waste of plastic but I really like the promo. I think the foiling looks really nice on it which is what convinced me to get another. I also knew that in today’s market I would at least break even from the promos worst comes to worst. I want to say that it was advertised on the US website for about 10 days (don’t quote me on this) before I noticed it was gone. In this market I think that 10,000 is a severe underestimate all things considered. Stamped promos have shown to be worth a lot of money if your name is not lechonk so I would assume that many speculative people bought up the items they had to get multiples of these cards. In terms of condition, I thought mine actually looked really good so they are sitting at PSA rn in a bulk sub that will be graded eventually.
