I had no idea you could transfer pokemon from the original R/G/B/Y and have them end up as shiny in G/S/C. I should checked the Japanese blue copy I just sold, as that still had an original battery

This was so cool. I love the shiny animation and sound in Gen 2. That Alakazam looks awesome. It’s shiny form looks a lot more distinct in Gen 2 compared to later games.
