How does this scam work?

Ok so I very recently bought a Pokemon sealed Yellow and Blue version off this seller for about $100 each. When I was buying it I thought that there’s a good chance that it is a scam but as it is through Paypal and my Credit Card I know I’m fully protected. After purchasing I’m trying to work out how this scam works. Seller has a store and over 4000 feedback with 100% positive but if you look at the recent sold history they are listing items at 20% of what they’re actually worth (mainly being old, sealed games) and selling the same items multiple times. Furthermore, I get the message that “You can only purchase a maximum of 2 items from this seller within a 10 day time period”. It all seems a bit suss… All I can think of is that the seller’s account has been compromised and someone is quickly selling lots of stuff in as short a time period as possible and withdrawing the money straight away. Anyway, thoughts?

Sold listings in link below (for some reason you have to copy and paste the link into search bar otherwise it takes you to one listing):

Send the seller a pm asking about those Nintendo games. See what his reply is. It looks a bit weird since he mainly sells old post cards.

for sure his ebay account s hacked. His profile image is a G2A.com logo. They sell stolen steam keys. I’m betting that has something to do with it…

The fact you paid $200 for the 2 games is suspect enough.

I get a “does not exist” message when I click the link! Im assuming they cracked down on the seller and it was indeed a scam?

Nope, link works for me.

Doesn’t exist on my end either

This is true but I saw it as soon as it went up and thought well I’m protected regardless so made the split decision after seeing 100% feedback on 4000 transactions. Who knows maybe someone didn’t realise the value of it and I got lucky. Worst case I guess now is that money is refunded and I’ve just got to wait a few days.
