Corocoro promo cards very often have a little ‘lip’ or bend on the border due to the way they are peeled. For an example, check out this corocoro Marill from Scott Pratte’s PSA return video:
Has anyone been able to remedy this? I have a few corocoro cards that it would be nice to flatten out. For example, what about bending it slightly the opposite direction manually, and then putting the card under something heavy? I don’t dare to try yet just out of fear of damaging the card.
You can try any home remedy in the book to attempt to fix a situation such as this, but in the end you end up risking further damage as opposed to helping the situation. I personally have never attempted a fix myself, but mainly due to exactly that: id rather PSA just grade the card as is and not think about the number rather than put the entire card under risk while spending valuable time that i can drive more productively elsewhere.
Fair enough, thanks for the tips I do personally prefer it without the lip but it’s not a huge issue. All the same, if this post reaches anyone who was able to straighten out the card I’d be grateful to hear about what they tried.
