CGC are now grading Harry Potter TCG cards. Will be interesting to see what comes out of the woodwork.

Are these expensive raw? My GF is a huge HP nerd and would like to get her some

It depends which set. Base set, quidditch cup holos/foils are quite affordable raw (except maybe the unicorn foil) Chamber of secrets foils/holos are usually the most expensive (particularly the dobby foils as they are playable cards)

Hello guys…sorry if this is instrusion in privacy, but does anyone know K. Fricks and can someone contact him, just tell him to look at FB messages and look for A.L.? He has ghosted on me after a HP TCG transaction, it’s been 2 months and he’s not replying on FB, IG, mail, whatever…It’s quite a big amount and it’s really weird cause he seemed a nice guy…But who knows:/ Thanks for any help!

More context for this? Is it a situation where you sent someone money and now you can’t contact them about it?
Sounds like you got scammed :slightly_frowning_face:

The opposite, I sent something with no protection and never got paid (500$). The guy seems to be a member of FB HPTCG group and we talked normally, he’s a true collector and everything about his profile is awesome, got married, cried for his dog, ya know…And then just ghosted, been like 3 months. Absolute weirdness.

If he hasn’t responded to you for 3 months then you got scammed, sorry.

Sorry for being rude and spammy, but I just want everyone to know that Kris Fricks is a son of b**ch who will scam you, so stay away from him. On FB, he is holding his kid, posting ‘beautiful’ wedding photos and lamenting about his dead dog, telling me he ‘‘couldn’t thank me enough’’ for selling him some Potter TCG stuff sent up front, only to ghost for 3 months and then block me on Messenger.

Use this as a life lesson, don’t get caught up in sob stories or facades. Do business deals and personal transactions by the book so that you are protected!

Hi there,

I am a big MLB Showdown guy, but the Harry Potter TCG seems really cool… just getting familiar with it. Any advice?

Honestly not too much to learn. Chamber of Secrets (last set) is the rarest set. It had a shorter print run because the TCG had very little interest and people staying on to actually play.

This is very much a TCG where the sealed items vastly, and ridiculously outpace any singles in terms of value of box vs potential value of cards inside. It grew a lot over the last few years because of the knock on effect of the Pokemon TCG boom. Do not ever buy sealed product with any dreams of opening it to gain anywhere close to what you spent. It just won’t happen.

There are some rare promos that are sought after by niche collectors. Japanese version has some unique promos.

There are others more knowledgeable than me so hopefully they reply.

Why would you send something to a random person before they have paid you? That’s baffling
