How popular is Harry Potter in non-English speaking countries? I think the books and movies are only English. Base set Italian and Japanese boxes sell cheaper than English. I would assume it behaves similar to Pokémon non-English markets.

Books have been translated into probably dozens of languages at this point…

Harry Potter is one of the most translated book series. Nearly 100 diff languages

Which (soft) protective cases do you guys use to protect your booster boxes? I am looking for some, but not sure they will fit. Any advice is appreciated!

afaik the HP booster boxes are exactly the same measurements as Pokemon WOTC boxes so anything that fits that would work.

Are you sure? I bought a Pokemon one from eBay and it didn’t fit inside (was close, but it didn’t fit).

Honestly not all that bad. Considering how tough they are to find. The guy I bought it off sold 2 or 3 at the price I got then relisted another for about triple the price afterwards.

Speaking of Promos, my “Wingardium Leviosa” promos arrived from Japan! These were the “launch” promos for the Harry Potter TCG in Japan and also a Japanese exclusive stamped promo, distributed in CoroCoro comics. This is one of my favorite arts in all of HP!

I picked up one sealed promo and a handful of raw opened promos as well. The front and back of the sealed promo is shown below, flanking the card.

Thanks for sharing, really cool to see it come from the box. What’s your source on WOTC’s response? I can’t seem to find it by searching online.

The last item for this discussion is the rumor that there was a promo version of the card “Devil’s Snare”. This has proven at this time to be untrue. I have seen scans of this card and I have not been convinced of the authenticity of the card. This card if it existed should have a “small” promo symbol on it, but the card image I saw had the large symbol on it. I even had "Mr. POJO ask WOTC directly about this card. Their response was that, “We have not commisioned that card.”. Ok, I agree that leaves a little room to maneuver. It is not the emphatic NO I wanted to hear.

I was buying them for $40 just a few months ago on Collector’s Cache. Seems like everything card related is seeing growth.
