I would send them an email to see if you can get them to cover the cost to reencapsulate, they will probably have you pay for shipping. I’ve always wondered when this would happen lol.
Depending on how big/noticeable the hair is, it may not be worth it. PSA will most likely charge you to reholder and it will take somewhere around 4+ months. Also you run the risk of the card being damaged or it coming back with more hair/food/god knows what on it. I would say somewhere around half of my PSA graded cards have some type of hair/plastic/something in the case and most people here probably have similar experience and just learn to live with it.
I said ‘most likely’ because I havent seen a picture of what the actual hair looks like. So he saves the $8 reholdering fee but still has to cover shipping/insurance both ways and runs the possibility of the card being lost/damaged in transit or at PSA during the reholdering process. Like I said in my first post, its probably not worth it, but to each their own.
I’ve never had hair in a case but I had a small piece of plastic denting the card inside a PSA 10 Japanese Charizard.
I’m guessing it doesn’t make it rarer…
