Before reading everyone’s votes my guess was Hawaii! For all the reasons everyone has mentioned plus because I wish it Also how far is it for Aussies to travel to Hawaii?
That’s so ridiculous. lol
I hope they come to Canada again on the East Coast(Toronto or Montreal) this time or even NYC wouldn’t be too far. I’d really like to go.
Definitely excited for DC - super cool city. Pokemon STILL hasn’t released the points necessary to qualify for this worlds yet [Organization has not been their strong suit on the player side of things]. I made day 2 of worlds again this year, but scrubbed out in day 2… again. Hopefully DC will bring me better luck!
I don’t see how this makes sense, most of the top players are from Europe. Having it in the US doesn’t make it convenient for anyone but us North Americans lol
Nah this isn’t right. In terms of numbers of “top players”, there are definitely more American “top players” - even if arguably the top player in the world is Norwegian currently. In terms of worlds invites and actual attendance, the biggest plurality of the player base is definitely the US. US always has higher amounts of both attendance at every event and invites, despite having higher invite costs than Europe.
A European regional is “BIG” if it gets 200-300 people - but that size regional is considered tiny/smallest of the year in the US where regionals are more likely to be 700-1100 in masters attendance. The playerbase is definitely still concentrated in the US
