**Greninja wins Pokemon general election.

**
**562,386 votes were cast in a general election to choose the most popular Pokemon. In the end, Greninja came out on top with 36,235 votes. Arceus was second, followed by Mew, Pikachu, and Sylveon to round out the top five.**The winning Pokemon will be distributed at screenings of the upcoming Volcanion and the Exquisite Magearna movie out later this summer.

The Pokemon Company ultimately shared the top 12. We have a look at that above. For the top 100, head past the break.

Wasn’t the poll for which Pokemon they wanted distributed for the event, and not necessarily their favourite? This is why Arceus is so high.
