GF Leak Discussion Thread

i’ll try to convert all the card psds and upload them in a bit. for now have some worlds 07-09 art

also of note i think are scans of the entirety of the game freak magazines (+ petit, comic, & encyclopedia)? i’m not particularly familiar with the contents but i think there’re drafts included, i assume all the published mags also archived by other sources by now but not sure. also photos/info from japanese tcg events, worlds, etc. behind the scenes photos with illustrators/creators, webpage info from sites that are long gone- lot of interesting history to dig through

The stuff coming out of this leak is awesome. But to me, unless we get some sort of lost game leaked, I think the previous Nintendo leak will be better to me. Seeing the Space World demos come out after so long is awesome. At least there’s still a decent amount of Pokemon lost media, so I’m hoping.

Determined to be fake.

To my knowledge the vast majority of Game Freak doujinshi have not been seen or shared outside of what collectors have turned up, so these are the first scans seen of the vast majority of them

this one is fake.

we do have some lost games (present party, quinty, other tech demos). as far as lost pokemon games, other than synapse its limited to dev builds and whatnot (at least that i’ve seen).

If anyone can’t handle owning their Cyndaquil line cards anymore, I will bear the burden of taking them off your hands for you for free.

Since apparently nobody posted this yet …
In the files there’re images of an event held in Japan during Winter 2007 (ウインターチャレンジ) …

It seems that during the event, staff cosplayed as Pokémon characters from Gen IV games such as Gym Leaders, Team Galactic and even Elite Four. Apparently, players had to challenge staff in TCG battles in order to earn badges.

This is a similar concept to what Wizards of the Coast did during their times in tournament events where players had to challenge Staff cosplayed as Gym Leaders in TCG duels.

In addition to this, photos of the cosplays have been found

A lot of those Settei have been known for years. I already saved pictures of those three Seviper in the video about three years ago for example (but better quality):

And also some more I’ve found from various sources:

Regardless, I’ve been able to save three new pictures thanks to this video, so thanks for sharing.

I always forget just how massive Seviper is until I see it next to someone in artwork.

WTActualF is this? Looks like something from a metroid game.
I mean, ultrabeast? It would be really cool if UBeast were originally largely inorganic abominations. Just think about how that could impact the story…

Going off the other things in the leak, I think it was one of the directions they were thinking about for the Metagross line.

i haven’t been keeping up lately but i think most people were leaning with this one being related to unown somehow- both with the eye you can see at the bottom of the right illustration and the other unown around the pillar it hugs onto/walks away from. some speculation about it being related to missingno as well but not too sure on that personally

Even cooler!

Unown/missingno/metagross mashup is still looking like it wants to be part of your cyberpunk nightmares.

Somehow I like this more than almost all the Ultra Beasts. Although I do like the idea that it’s related to the Unowns in some way. Like it’s a sentient chunk of the Ruins of Alph.

I noticed the unown too. I thought it might be something to do with a legendary.

@SeasidePokemon It has an austere out-of-place feeling which really offsets the pokemon aesthetic. Necrozma started to get there, but then it stayed within the PkMn realm. A few creatures like Runerigus also have this feel, but for the alternate dimension in SM, it would have been perfect.
