Simple fix actually. They āstack listā so if thereās an identical card following one just listed the lister could just start a new stack to list later.
Yeah to be fair it was Charizard that was overpriced for a while now. Thereās been a point he was going for higher than the price of a box. Iām not saying itās worth $960, but when it was $2k+ it was definitely overpriced.
To the guy that paid $1325, you did fine. I wouldnāt worry too much, I think you paid fair market value.
I have a feeling the market is going to stabilize in the near future. I donāt know when exactly, but if I were to guess Iād say no later than next year. Probably in the fall at some point⦠There isnāt an unlimited supply of these cards. Weāre talking less than pop 100 on most of them, once they land in the hands of actual collectors, they wonāt be flipped every month.
I see a bright future for the Unlimited cards, especially the holos. Collectors are going to want the base set for the nostalgic value or simply because it is the original set. For a lot of people, the prices of the 1st edition versions are already out of reach. I can see the same being said for Shadowless now or in the near future.
If/When supply is eventually scarce enough on the 1st and Shadowless, Unlimited may be the only option available to all but the most hardcore collector or those with deep pockets.
Or having to choose between an Unlimited PSA 9 and a 1st edition PSA 2 at the same price range (hypothetical), I can see a lot of people taking the card in better condition since they are nearly identical and technically from the same set.
