Hello guys. So a few months ago after completing a eBay purchase on the bottom of the screen it shows I’m eligible for $10 cash back from my purchase. I’m excited so I click on it. They start asking for my name and address and all that good stuff. I entered all my information until it got to the credit card section. I got paranoid not wanting to give out my credit card info so I left the site. Fast forward a few months and i notice $13 was randomly took from my bank account. It had me really confused and messed up another transaction I was in the middle of completing. Long story short Free shipping.com had periodically charged my card $13 for about six months straight all on random days. They stole my information and i had to replace my credit card. It total they took about $80 over a four to six month period. The funny part is i never even entered credit card info but they somehow got it. Bottom line and end of the story is DO NOT Click ANY LINKS At the Bottom of eBay for a site called Free shipping.com. You don’t get $10s cash back like it claims. You get robbed blindly periodically!!
Was each transaction exactly $13 each month on a random day? Unfortunate you can’t even trust eBay links
Classic example of the ol’ reliable ‘if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is’
Site says 10% cash back, $2 fee, $13/month thereafter. You inadvertently signed up for a service you needed to cancel. You say this was advertised on eBay, though? That’s disappointing and sounds like the hook was underhanded but probably legal and not technically a scam. Good info either way though. Thanks.
Yes exactly $13 even and random days. Beginning of the month. Middle and end
Trust me I never finished signing up. And they don’t provide any service. I assure you I paid full price for all my orders after that. And yes it shows up on eBay after purchases sometimes. I called my bank and reported the fraud and was refunding $13 six times. That’s how long the scam went on for. I didn’t notice because I didn’t have online banking and the days were random everytime I was charged
