A pretty significant update :sweat_smile: I think those are ideal grades on the wind and the karp too, those would also be my choice

Just a bit! :smile: Yeh I was very happy as I was able to obtain both of those wonderful cards for reasonable prices but with great aesthetics! The wind I actually got graded myself so very satisfying. For me when it comes to trophies that are hard to obtain and expensive I donā€™t mind taking a hit on the grade if it still presents well.

Only for a few minutes in the sun! I was more worried about slipping and dropping the unikarp in the pond :joy: but I had to get the shot with a water background, just thought it looked super cool :sunglasses:.

Thank you! :pray::smiley: I actually brought the victory ring raw and sent it to BGS in hope of a pristine grade as itā€™s so clean. Bit gutted it didnā€™t get at least some 10 sub grades but still lovely to have a gem mint copy :slight_smile:

August 2018 - I completed a 1st edition holo base set in PSA 8/9s (you can go back in this thread to see it!). At the time I was traveling and didnā€™t have a steady income so decided to finish the set in 8s after I originally started in 9s and hopefully replace the 8s later. Fast forward to 2020 and I realised I was sad I probably couldnā€™t afford to finish the set in 9s as the Logan Paul boom was happening and I accepted I probably would have to stick with my 8/9 set. As time went on and prices dropped off again the 9s became more obtainable and I thought if I donā€™t do it now I may regret it again in the future. I started to sell my 8s and pickup 9s in their place beginning last year (2022) and almost exactly 5 years later after completing the 8/9 set I finally completed the set again in PSA 9s only!

Very happy to have finally achieved it even if it did take me years and cost alot more money in the end! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: What a picture!

Dude this is an incredible achievement. Really awesome to see them all together. Iā€™m hoping to do the same one day. Iā€™m three cards away but still need Charizard, Blastoise, and Clefairy. Did you have trouble selling the 8s to upgrade to 9ā€™s?

Thank you so much! Best of luck with completing the set, itā€™s definitely a tough goal nowadays but it is achievable if you set your mind to it and you are able to save up :slight_smile: as always go for the most expensive card first! My 8s took a while to sell but I sold most and traded a couple. The only one I had left after about 9 months was the poliwrath which I actually ended up cracking to put in my binder collection as I am now also trying to complete a binder of 1st ed/shadowless/UL/4th print because Iā€™m a madman :joy:
