Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well,
Just picked this absolute BEUTY up off eBay. Was able to negotiate the price down quite a bit and both the seller and I agree, this could easily, EASILY, fetch a PSA 9 if regraded. Aside from centering I’m really not sure why it got an 8.5. Cant wait to send it in for a regrade and attempt a 9, but regardless I’m just inlove with this card and for the price? It was a steal!

I will say some truth once to never mention it again. Shadowless are the best foreign cards ever printed. Period.

Certainly looks like a 9 to me. Maybe the surface is off which is hard to see through the case? Honestly, an 8.5 is awesome.
I’ve gone over it extensively to see if anything was scratched or any print dots but you could be right! I honestly don’t mind the 8.5, would just always appreciate a higher grade. Very thankful to even have something like this in my collection
I almost bought this very card. The seller was really willing to make a deal. I sure thought it could be a 9. Glad it went to an efour member!
Ahh!! I feel very luck then haha, i gotta be honest once I saw it I was like “man there’s no way that can’t be graded again, what a beauty.” It was actually a little hard to get the seller to agree to sell it

I recall being 8ish years old and thinking shadowless were fakes and gave them away/discarded them. Ah well.

8.5’s get so much hate but I tend to gravitate towards them; super cool!
hi mate, what’s your strategy here re: regrade? Are you planning to crack the case or just send it in for regrade service?
I’ve cracked a number of cases over time and learned that PSA are pretty consistent. I know people are always looking for that diamond in the rough, letting their bias tell them the card is surely a grade higher (especially me). There are so many things that can be hard to pick up on with regards to surface, it can be hard to truly know what’s holding a card back from a higher grade.
I think with an 8.5 you’ve probably got a solid shot. Personally would recommend cracking the case to remove all PSA’s bias too 
would love to see a follow up regardless!

Thanks! Appreciate the kind words, yea I was debating between cracking the case and sending it in or leaving it in the case and sending it in. I spent a lot of time looking through all the available 8.5s I was able to find before purchase and while this one looked the best, I still take regrading very seriously. I’ve been collecting for years & have only ever regraded cards when I was confident enough to spend the money on the regrade. I have a jewelers loop & overhead light I use for every card I get, & I try to get as many second and third opinions as possible before making this kinda decision. If it doesn’t come back a 9 it’s not a problem! Still love the card, but definitely worth a shot! Hopefully I can post some pics once I send it off and get the results back!
I’d send to bgs, you’ll probably get a 9 or 9.5. Then, send that to psa
tbh it’s kinda nice to know what BGS thinks of it with subgrades. might not be a bad play
