This card reminds me so much of route 1 in Kanto where you’re going to encounter at least one Pidgey (and maybe 8).

I absolutely love the amazing rares. I’m honestly glad they’re really cheap because I’ll grab them all day from 50 cent boxes at LGS’s or card shows. Though, I’ll probably stop once I get a full page of each in a binder.

Same here. I think they are weirdly undervalued (don’t think they were too difficult to pull to be fair) for what they are. I have Kyogre and Raikou, and just want Rayquaza and Celebi to go with them (not interested in the rest…to much of a boomer to care about anything beyond Gen 3 and possibly 4 lol).
On a similar note, Radiants seem to be absolute pennies too! Even the Charizard is cheap.

Totally fair. I’ll admit I’m the same way with the others, though I like Jirachi as well.
And yeah! I can understand some of the random radiants being cheap - things like Charjabug - but I was going through a 50 cent box at a local place this past weekend and found 2 Radiant Venusaurs. Not an overly pricey card or anything, but more than 50 cents for sure.

TCG Player is a good option for English cards. Typically there is no picture of the card listed, although for the price point it’s often worth the gamble if it’s going in a binder.
Kedamahadaitai Yawarakai is definitely one of my new favorites. There’s only a handful of new cards by this artist but I recently just bought them all they’re cheap.
For other cheap English cards try Troll and Toad. If you prefer to buy on Ebay you have to find sellers that hold large collections of raw cards. I’ve had success with; hexikyu_japan, ma-chanz, toadscollectibles, landlockedcards, rosecitysupply, and midorigame.

The colors and mood on that EX Crystal Guardians Squirtle are just amazing. One of my favorite Squirtle cards for sure.

He somehow mastered the art of over saturation of color, particularly with purples and blues. If you look at his cards in 2006 from Dragon frontiers (or any in mid 2000’s era) they all have that purple sunset hue in common. When I say it out loud you’d think they look terrible, but when you see them they’re so warm and inviting.

Oh man, you’re right. Just took a look at his cards around the EX era and a lot of his cards have this bluish/purplish hue, and a good chuck of them are around dusk or have a setting sun. I liked a ton of these cards I’m seeing (Kabuto, Mudkip, Dratini, Typhlosion, Cyndaquil, etc.), but I didn’t know they were by Kusajima. I should probably pull his cards out of my random-cards-I-like pile and start a Kusajima pile

Ok one more. Probably one of my favorite stamped cards. It just feels “noisy” and every time i look at it i just cant help but wonder if they were just trying to see how many stamps they can get in one space. It feels unnecessary and i love it.
