Yah this really looks suspect. I’m lot an expert but I would personally avoid this card. And I’m pretty sure “misprint” just them trying to avoid suspicion. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was placed in the wrong spot on purpose. The font looks wrong on top of the placement.
the corners aren’t the easiest to see, but from what i can see it makes me think real. Not to mention you don’t fake a six on this. I also don’t think tony did it if it were a fake.
Last auction for a PSA 9 was last summer I think around 1600 US dollars. I was in on it and was one of the top bidders, but lost sadly. I said to myself “This card is worth 3K all damn day” and was trying to see if I could snipe it as going under the radar. In today’s market, I bet it’s worth around 5k in a PSA 9. There are just so few of them in this grade and no 10 copies. How many old WOTC cards have this low a pop with zero 10’s? Are there any vintage WOTC cards with zero 10’s that are this popular??? I seriously wish I just bid a bit higher and won, but like always… that money was used else where and got me something else I needed.
Side question guys… Has anyone ever even seen a fake prerelease stamp before? Question applies to ANY of the WOTC prerelease cards (seadra, aero, gyarados, clefable)
Yes, prerelease Raichu is the most common example.
To the point of the PSA 10 PR clefable, if it were to ever happen I would predict it to be the highest valued english card. PR clefables are so bad that it’s almost easier to authenticate it by the damage they have in the corners.
