Evolutions box is ~120 while its PSA 10 Charizard is $1500?

the psa 10 holos from the set are actually priced quite a bit higher than you have listed there.

Which ones. I was going based off what I found weeks before I made the video. My data won’t always be accurate to the time you might be watching. At the time I only saw one $1500+ sale so I averaged it with the other Charizard Holo sales of $1000.

Where has there been an Evolution card going for $1500? I was unable to find any examples.

I haven’t seen any PSA 10 that high but I think that Evo Boxes are very attainable, pulling a Zard may be slimmer odds but it doesn’t seem like many grade at 10. That set seems to have a fair few issues with centering and print lines. Makes the price of the 10 go ^^^^^^^^

Just opened a booster box hoping I would get the holo zard and didn’t get one, I only pulled the reverse holo.

Oh well

Will be interesting to see how it plays out. cases selling for $780 on eBay currently.

Has anyone found the ETB at Walmart? I haven’t seen any at my local Walmart

Where did you pick them up?

This was directly from wholesale distribution. Wholesale pricing has since moved up to $93 as I type. My one distributor projected that at the current order pace their stock would be depleted by October. Obscene amounts of this product were printed, but as with base set unlimited, it feels like the “unlimited” supply is being outpaced by nearly “unlimited” demand. Evolutions booster boxes $10k confirmed for 2040.

Hmm, seems like there is a lot of sarcasm in this thread and chest pounding, “these will never be worth a damn.”

Same people saying the same thing for the past 5 years while everything goes up in value right before their eyes  Good thing they saw through the hype though.

So, a product released 5 years ago, is finally going up. We still have no idea what the prices for these are going to be in 5 months or 2 years.

What a vision.

Case prices are getting quite interesting right now:

In the past 4 days the past 5 cases have sold for:

$850
$912
$880
$950
$929

With an average of $904 per case, that’s ~$150 per box, which is about on par with what single boxes have been selling for the past few days as well. Quite a jump from ~$120 just a week or two ago.

My last check with distributors my price was $105 per box but it was about 2 weeks ago and I was told they will likely be sold out in October timeframe and then things will get really interesting. I’ve been selling cases between 8 and 9 hundred and recently raised my listing to almost $1,000.

So a $12/box bump in ~20 days from distributors? Fascinating to follow pricing timeline in this thread. Maybe I will keep it up to date with current prices to act as a paper trail.

I just bought 3 Evo Boxes for $130 each, a bit more expensive than what i wanted but im definitely keeping them sealed for my collection.

I really do not understand Evolutions prices on eBay right now. I see blister packs constantly restocked at Walmart and sealed boxes available for below eBay prices at my LGS’s. Heck, there’s even a new collection box coming out in October consisting exclusively of Evolutions packs (and 10 of them at that). If anything, it seems like TPCi is still trying to dump their massive inventory of Evolutions, but here we are seeing buyers purchase this stuff as if they’re scare. Truly confusing. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Whats scarce is the ability to grade tens. There may be lots of boxes out there but the pop report aint rising.

Then the prices should reflect with the 10s and not with the packs (at least not while they’re still widely available at MSRP).

My whole issue is that Evolutions prices in the secondary market are higher than in the primary market. Again, there’s no lack of supply and it’s not like eBay sellers are providing any value-added so why the price discrepancy?

I’m sure we can all agree that the prices of this set will eventually increase, but it doesn’t make sense for it to do so now. It feels like everyone is speculating/anticipating a supply drop, but all evidence points to the contrary IMO. Every tin, collection box, etc. in SW&SH has Evolutions and there’s even an upcoming box consisting solely of Evolutions packs.

Anyways, it’ll be interesting to see how this set turns out over the next few years.

Distributors are raising prices because the box is out of print. This is the main driving force behind all modern price increases.

Look at Flashfire, it’s only 2 years older and it’s selling for $2600-$2800 a box. Two years ago they were selling for $300 when you could still buy blisters and find boosters in sets at Target.

Blisters and trainer box availability =/= original 36ct box availability.

This is true, you can see it right now with Champions Path (which isnt officiall out yet). To me is bonkers, it makes me wonder if we are bound to have shorter supply of product in the foreseeable future? Leaving us at the mercy of scalpers/flippers.
