Hey guys I just got a new debit card sent to me. I have a deal for a card setup on eBay. I went to pay but it’s not letting me checkout. There’s plenty of money on there so it’s not balance. I also checked out a card on troll and toad to make sure the cards working which it is. Any trouble shooting advise will help or is anyone else unable to check out on eBay today? PayPal also isn’t working for linking my card so I’m trying to checkout with just the card
I’ve had an issue similar to this in the past and I fixed it by clearing cache, deleting cookies, and trying different browser. However, this sounds more like a checkout issue since you can’t use PayPal either.
Ya im worried the seller isn’t going to believe I’m trying to pay. I’m about to try off computer instead of phone. Maybe that works. I tried logging in and out. Never had this issue with eBay before. It might also be the new card. But it let me on troll and toad
Did you check their acceptable methods of payment? I assume they accept Paypal as most sellers do, but that might be where your issue is occurring.
I would go ahead and let the seller know you are trying to make payment and experiencing some technical issues with eBay, so they know you are intending to pay and won’t back out of the deal in the meantime.
Just did some searching online and some people were experiencing issues that were able to solve once they deactivated their security key, so that may be your problem too.
Ok here’s a update. I noticed i forgot to pay my stupid $4 seller fees and my account was on hold. I just paid it. Is this why I couldn’t check out? And when will eBay be working again? Payments been processed for eBay fees
Yeah, that would most likely be the reason why you couldn’t check out. I would say they will take your account off hold once they are sure the fees are processed and will most likely notify you.
I’d say to try checking out again to see if it is working now, if not be on the lookout for an e-mail notification.
I added a card today and checked out no problem, try updating your browser maybe? Or double check making sure correct numbers entered.
Ya I got the message saying my account was reactivated or however they worded it. Still can’t checkout. I’m going to try back in a hour or so
Hey guys problem solved. I just ordered a very nice Umbreon ex to finish my Evolutions ex family :-). So I had to set up online banking. Then finally linked PayPal. Which finally allowed me to check out. Only reason I had problems to begin with is because my old card expired and possibly the eBay seller fees. So this new card wasn’t linked to ebay or PayPal. Thank God it’s done with tho and thanks for the help
