i have free returns on everything except pokemon basically. i dont want ppl returning pokemon stuff if the value tanks in a month. but i get the discount on everything so no clue really.
Some categories are exempt from having to accept returns with tcg being one of them
You only have to offer free returns if you want the useless seal put on your eBay page. You don’t need to do it to get the 1% discount
Any guess on how long the 0% selling fees will last? Seems like whenever the merger is complete but who knows how long that’ll take.
The PR said deal expected to close this quarter so id be prepared by end of summer at latest
I have it. It’s not that hard. I should go check my exact fee.
EDIT: My last fee worked out to be 11.8%, idk… I need a sale larger than $4.21 lol
Are the PSA Vault rates applied to auctions only or BINs/fixed-price listings as well?
Will they allow BINs/fixed-price listings? I don’t remember reading about this specifically.
One thing I’m curious to see is if eBay starts running a deal similar to what PWCC has with CGC. Letting people send cards for grading and then immediately putting them into auction, not charging grading fees until the sale is completed. I’m a bit worried that if they do this it will increase the number of junk slabs as well as the turnaround time, but I can also see the appeal of it for sellers who don’t have as much capital for grading.
Why do you hurt me with these words. Obviously 0% was wayyy too good to be true and 3% felt quite too good to be true… but … not like this. Anything but this. Still a lot better than Heritage, PWCC, Goldin but man eBay vault 2023-2024 RIP
If they did, there would have to be a minimum card value.
Otherwise it will be junk submissions that would top the pandemic ones.
But maybe they are stupid enough to do it.
We will probably be paying for authenticity guarantee now? That was a service that didn’t add extra cost. Probably benefited eBay more with having fewer disputes.
Why would we be paying for authenticity guarantee?
Buy a card for over $250 and eBay adds a $10 fee, as an example.
Ebay said themselves it was only temporarily a free service
For how long will withdrawal from the eBay vault remain free? Does anyone have a specific date?
No. eBay doesn’t even know yet since the deal hasn’t officially closed
Has there been word on when the changes take place? I think last I checked it just said later this year. I’m tempted to send a few things to auction before the change but I’m not sure if there will be time with shipping plus 10 day auctions. Would realistically need about a month before the fees start for it to be worth
PSA said the deal was supposed to complete sometime Q2 this year, so that is about a 2.5 month window at the longest. eBay did state they would send out another communication as a “last call” to withdraw your items for free, so think it’d have to be a user error (or an ID10T error as we call them at work) on your end to have your items left in the vault beyond the 0% selling fee period.
Ok maybe it’s time to firesale some stuff thank you! Gotta send some stuff in asap I guess. When will we ever get 0% fees again? Probably never
Regular selling fees are only ~13%, so I wouldn’t be trying to liquidate anything for more than that percentage-wise as you’re not any better off.
Na I won’t do anything too dumb. Just figure I’ll get rid of some stuff while the fee structure is the same. Not too many opportunities like this can be coming in the future when selling is so chthroat and margins are thin
