Losing access to the global market denies any benefit I could think of, unfortunately.

I suppose the benefits would be: having no liability when shipping very expensive cards to buyers, no need to store expensive cards locally, and near-immediate payment.

Yes and no, the US market is more than strong enough to make up for thar.

Is there a possibility that only cards that are graded, sent to PSA Vault and listed for sale will be subject to 16-7% fees?. While the ones you send directly to Ebay Vault will still be 0-3%?

I doubt it, but that would be awesome.

That would cause a lawsuit. Remember fortnite and Apple?

It is 2 different services. One is grading and selling all in one. The other is sending in already graded items. Different fee structures makes sense

i dont really agree with this… chinese buyers n stuff are mostly after the 2500+ cards that wouldnt qualify for gsp anyway and they would mostly use a US middleman otherwise… and the vault is now working for non-US sales as long as they have a US shipping address

the psa vault and ebay vault are looking like they are merging essentially so doubt this would happen esp since they linked the psa vault rates in the email… although would be awesome if it did

hopefully they at least introduce other psa-graded collectibles like packs n stuff in the vault storage… maybe even wata games would at least partially make up for this fee change

It’s not just Chinese buyers and they all don’t just buy $2500+ items. While some are aware of vault accounts, international buyers are definitely significant, perhaps now more than ever since eBay has streamlined the process. I’d say 30% of my sales are international, many are top of the market sales.

Wait can I actually pay them $60/yr and get fees dropped from 13.25% down to 12.8%? That seems like a great deal what other requirements are there?

its like $22 a month i think. still no brainer if you sell >$2k/month or w/e

Oh, that is not the cheapest store option then.

Don’t quote me on the 12.8%. I think it’s about that but I don’t remember. @tidaldreams is correct it requires about 2k a month to be worth it

you also get an extra ~1% off fvf for being top rated plus which adds up quickly… although not sure if this is an actual feature of a store coz i doubt anyone is top rated plus that doesn have a store

Regular accounts can get the 1% discount. It actually isn’t too bad to get. It’s something like this:

  • 95% of sales have tracked shipping
  • 100 items sold
  • $1,000 in sales in last 365 days

Here is what is on eBay’s page

Do you opt into this? It says you must allow free returns and be top rated to get the extra 1%. I always figured the free returns is not worth it

no idea, i have no returns on all my trading card product and still get it. this is for a pack:

Interesting I could have sworn there was some sort of thing in there about allowing returns. I’ll have to look into it more
