Honestly, that was a journey and now I think more Jerry listings in my life. I just checked out his other items and all of the descriptions read the same exact way. Each one comes complete with the reason for the exact price (and no discounts on any of them) as well as his backstory about each item. Iām going to be reading these all day.
Someone had ā4x lapras (one with misty on the island)ā not that it matters. Obviously marked as a purchase for 4 of said card. 4 available. Worked out at 15p a copy or something, so sure I said, bought all 4, thinking the condition of 1 of the 16 would be decent.
Takes weeks to arrive from the states, 4 arriveā¦
Not strictly garbage and I assume that heāll either refund me or send me the other 12 but irritating none-the-less. I can see how youād get confused whilst packaging but come on!
I bought a NrMt JP base box (empty) a few years ago, and the seller sent me⦠a gym challenge bos with packing tape. So I sent him a message, letting him know, and sent him a pic too, just in case. He said the gym challenge box was sitting āright hereā so I asked him to check again, because the picture was clearly the box he claimed he still had. āOh, yeah. I do still have your box. Would you be willing to buy the one I sent you as well? To cover the shipping I spent.ā
I did get the box, and it was magnificent, but yeah, cāmon. Really?
I⦠donāt understand the aoki pokemon thing. Heās a famous person who likes pokemon? Cool. No problem with that. But now itās rapidly turning into this incredibly cringy aoki name cash grab campaign
vvv $20,000 figures that are 1 of 1 of 8 (what the fuck is that btw) that look like a cheap high school pottery project that also have to massively violate copyright protection??? Who the fuck would buy these???
I really donāt get it either. I was under the impression that maybe he thinks that his signature is worth a lot but he has a graded funko pop of himself thatās signed and listed for $1200. Itās only the Pokemon items that are listed for 20K. Kind of comes off as pretentious if he thinks that his name carries that much weight in the Pokemon world. But itās his card and his statues so he can try to sell it for what he wants, Iām just curious if he actually thinks someone will buy them.
It just floors me how awful the quality is on those $20,000 figures. Just super obvious basic thing. As someone else said pikachuās eyes just being completely the wrong shape, they didnāt paint the base of his tail brown, they didnāt paint the stripes on his back at all, they didnāt even draw eyes on charizard, the top and bottom claw things on his wings are not only different sizes/painted differently but his right bottom one just isnāt there, the wings are completely different shapes, his tail is way too thick compared to like every official charizard art ever
Completely unacceptable for anyone else to do for anything above like $100 let alone 20 thousand. Itās the epitome of ebay garbage.
Therefore I have decided that it is in my best interest to start selling Steve Aoki figures with my face printed on his chest and my signature on his butt.
They will be limited to 1 of 1 of 8 and will retail for a low price of $62,000 - thatās cheaper than my upcoming NFT offering!
Donāt worry, Iām doing this for charity. With my new PichuFanFoundation I will be generously donating 0.5% of profits to help tackle autism whilst getting a nice tax relief to completely absorb that loss. Think of the children.
