This deal was app exclusive and many of them lately have been pushing people to use the app. The clear reasoning for a sale that short was exactly this. You feel you’ve missed out and if anything it will prompt you to go download the app and enable notifications. If you had the app installed and push notifications enabled you would have been much more likely to see it and use it in the future. On 15% discounts they actually lose money as the average FVF are only around 10%. They have to have a clear gain and people getting the app would be the main goal of all these recent 15% promotions.

Does anyone else get notifications or emails for discounts but then you go back later and they disappear? I had a notification for 10% off $25 or more like 3 hours ago and I was going to use it with my eBay bucks but it’s gone

Whew, I was just about to buy Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze on the eShop before I went to bed last night but I’m glad I held off. I would have paid like $63 with tax for a digital copy and now I can get a sealed physical one for $46 and change. Thanks for sharing this!
