My secret santa package arrived today from none other than @mrpandachum and boy was this thing hefty.
I don’t remember the exact details of what I had written on my wishlist but I do recall mentioning theme decks, coins, and some of my favorite Pokemon (Cyndaquil, Vibrava, and likely the other 'mons in my forum signature).
I feel like I may have been difficult to shop for since my collecting goals right now are vintage theme decks and Japanese-exclusive coins… truthfully I would have been happy with anything! Anyways, I’ll save the rest for later…
Not only was this package hefty but @mrpandachum over-nighted it - holey moley! I had a hunch that they went all in on my package if they were willing to ship it that quickly (it probably doesn’t hurt that we live in the same state :P). Though unexpected, I truly appreciate the priority shipping!
Onto the opening and unboxing. I was greeted by 4 wrapped items and an envelope protected by bubblewrap.
I opened the envelope first so that I could read the card. This thing was thick as there were a few items bundled together here. My face lit up as I was laying everything out on the table.
I absolutely adore this art piece of Cyndaquil gazing up at the sun (here, an absolutely flawless Shaymin coin!). I can’t imagine that this is good for his eyes (yes, he has them)…
I can’t state enough how much I love this piece. If this was all that I had received then I would still be over the moon - thank you so SO much!
I had also received a CGC 9 reverse holo Cyndaquil from EX Unseen Forces (with the foil applied upside down - see here for more info).
EX Unseen Forces is my favorite TCG expansion and Cyndaquil is my favorite 'mon so this is an extra cool addition to my collection!
Up until now I have only ever purchased slabs so that I can crack them open but I will be keeping this one intact and displaying it somewhere. Perhaps I’ll get some of my other Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion cards graded to display with it!
The card was hand-made and handwritten with a nice note inside. They confirmed that, indeed, I was an interesting person to shop for 
The note in their card mentioned that they had gotten me coins, so I next opened the item that I thought likely had them - I was correct!
Inside were three coins that I’ve been looking for - Spring Battle Roads Rayquaza (Japan-exclusive, distributed at tournaments in 2003) and the original Kyogre and Groudon coins in minty condition (released in the Ocean’s Kyogre ex and Earth’s Groudon ex half decks and also the three EX Crystal Guardians theme decks).
Thank you so much for learning about theme decks and coins for my gift. I know that they are fairly niche and that what I’m still searching for is fairly difficult to find. You delivered!
The next item that I opened was this chonky little Cyndaquil plush. I have never seen this design before but I love him! He will be going onto my desk at work.
The next item contained more plushes - one a really neat Vibrava plush (my favorite Hoenn Pokemon) from Pokemon Singapore and another a Cyndaquil that appears to be holding up something. Both are super cute and will be given homes around the house!
Lastly, the largest item is this fuzzy Cyndaquil! Once again, I’ve not seen this plush before but he is really soft and will be right at home next to my life-size Cyndaquil plush.
My gift absolutely blew me away both by the generosity and the effort put into finding me all of these cool and niche plushes and coins.
