So ive been meaning to post this for a few days now but ive just been super busy and stressed through this holiday season beyond measure so I havent gotten around to it, but let me just start by saying this might be one of the most thoughtful gifts ive ever received in my life.
Days ago I got my usual mail and found a package which I had no idea where it came from. Curious me opened it only to realize that it was my secret santa, and although I wanted to try and keep it a secret until Christmas, These boards with my discord posts peaked my curiosity.
As you can see here, this was what I saw first! Sir Hypernova here (someone please help me tag him because im not great with tagging here) started by compiling all my discord posts involving my love for the new Dedenne from shiny v, as well as adding one and an awesome little artwork of it too! I cant get enough of these and the art piece made it 10 times better which just blew me away until i get to the next part of my giftā¦
So this is where i got very emotional. Most already know im a pretty emotional dude at heart, but this hit me so damn hard i couldnt contain a few tears along the way. Hypernova took my post about my favorite pokemon theme song and how moving and meaningful it is to me, and threw the song right into this custom made musicbox that not only has my little username/nickname on it, but also has ALL OF MY FAVORITE CARD ARTS AND POKEMON ENGRAVED INTO IT. Again, im not one to really ever ask for gifts and such because i usually just dont want others going out of their way for me, but this really hit such a damn soft spot in me and truly made the holiday season so much better. Ever since i got this Ive been playing the theme every morning now to give me some cheer before going into all the stressful things i have to do and it hasnt failed to bring a smile to my face. Again, I couldnt thank him enough.
But its not over yet!
annnd to top it all off here, lastly we have me posting about my absolute favorite hot sauce ever and a bottle of it (which oddly enough, i ran out of 1 week prior to getting this package so perfect timing!!) as well as another amazing handmade art piece of my good ol boi t17 (I added my t17s for flair). As if the musicbox and dedenne werent enough, this was the final pieces of the gift I saw which at that point I was like ok, please no more. This is already turning my heart into mush as it is lol.
Overall I have no idea how my gift to my secret santa can even come close to this amount of thought and love. Even in writing this days later, im still just as stunned from the moment i opened up the package. I mean, I am just a little humble stranger over the internet, and to get something like this from another āstrangerā of sorts is mindblowing. Just goes to show that at the end of the day, kindness goes a looong way and this act of kindness will forever be cherished on my end. I can only do my best to do the same for someone else one day.
Thank you truly from the bottom of my heart once more Hypernova, and im looking forward to seeing everyone elses gifts here once they arrive!

First off, while some of us Santas are still working on getting their gifts of to their Christmas boys and girls, there are legends out there who shopped and shipped early. I just want to salute those amazing people (most of them already in this thread), and make a special mention for my own secret Santa, @gotdundee. I also want to offer an apology for my very delayed post here. I received my gift at least a week ago (omg was it two weeks? 
I have no idea. Weāll go with a long time ago #pandemictime), but itās been a crazy week/long time ago over here, and I wanted to do the gift justice rather than just post a pic and quick thanks, since it was such an amazing gift to receive. So without further ado!
My gift came with instructions, as all the best gifts do. In my Christmas wish list, I mentioned my favorite artists and asked that the Santa share his/her favorite artwork of a non-expensive/famous card.
Check out this beaut! Gotdundee, I have a new appreciation for this artwork. There is something really calming about the light on the water and the limited use of color/shades. I wouldnāt have taken so much time to notice this card, so thank you! Also, itās a Kusajima - heās one of my favs, and this is a very different style than what I usually love him for!
I canāt believe you parted with Coro cards from your childhood! 
Thank you! They will join my Cubone collection in marked sleeves, so I always have their origin story! And excellent Omanyte choices! Heās become one of my favs! And finally - thank you for the boosters. I am saving them as a reward to be opened once work slows down and I can relax. And super finally - that excellent sticker will be displayed on my desk!

Itās so good. You are crazy to have worried about your skills. But I love the Psyduck, too, so Iām happy to benefit from your perfectionism.

My secret santa arrived and I gotta say Iām so happy I decided to join in this year! This was such a fun gift to open and I was so ecstatic and happy about every part! This is what I first see when I opened up the box and Iām glad I was careful slicing the tape because there was a BEAUTIFUL watercolor panting of the 3 legendary dogs in their shiny forms!
Underneath that was a dragonite and tyranitar expedition which filled 2 spots in my binder. I only had 3 nonholo rares for expedition so these were greatly needed and amazing cards to gift! And then a prerelease box with HUNDREDS of old school bulk including tons of rares! There isnāt a single duplicate in all of these cards and I canāt wait to spread out all of my binders in fill in hundreds of empty spaces!
I honestly donāt know which part of the gift I love the most. Im so happy to get so many cards for my binders, especially those tricky older bulk and rare cards that can be a pain to hunt one down one. The e series rares were incredibly generous and itās an amazing feeling to fill binder spots on a set like that. And I was honestly transfixed on the painting. I didnāt know you were such a good artist! I could not have asked for better art and I love that its watercolor since it is reminiscent of the og pokemon art. Watercolor always seemed so daunting and an unforgiving medium to paint in. I had to frame it and this will go my shelf! And lastly I really liked the decorating of the box with energies! Thank you so much for an AMAZING gift and being so glad for participating in this years secret santa @rattlebear !

I guess Iām quite dull because I didnāt catch on at all I definitely didnāt have most of the cards, especially the HGSS cards which are the sets Iāve most been wanting to put together past 3rd gen because I love the card designs and art. I actually asked for binders from my family for christmas so hopefully Iāll have enough binders soon enough to put these sets together and put all these bulk in a binder where they belong!
