E4 Secret Santa 2020 [PICTURE THREAD]

Received my Secret Santa in mail.
Really appreciate the promo cards. Great addition to my collection of promos.

It was an awesome artwork in the style of a ball point pen sketch. I will cherish the artwork always.

Thanks Santa!! It was a great start to the year.

Wow that dragonite drawing is lovely!

A huge thanks to @hofmania for the amazing gifts. I didn’t want to take the other two prints out of the tube again unless it’s to frame them but they are amazing too. Maybe I’ll update this when I do that. And you are correct hof, my collection does lack modern. These new starters are actually really good looking and the cards from the tin were a pleasant surprise. I had to take a picture of a Lugia I have in front of my favorite part of the gift, this legendary bird print. When I said I was interested in artwork, this is exactly what I wanted. It compliments my collection so well. Thank you!

Thanks to @zorloth for the gift, PokePark stuff is pretty cool. The POP pack will remain safe within my sealed collection!

The biggest of thank you’s to my ??Secret Santa??, the thought and consideration you put in was incredible and opening it up was an absolute joy.

First off, what more could I ask for than a huge 45 new Japanese stadiums to add to the collection. I had a great time adding them all into the checklist and marking them off as secret Santa gifts so that i’ll be able to remember which ones you sent. I was also able to make 2 set number corrections to the spreadsheet that i’d clearly messed up on. The Lucky Stadium and the Secret full arts are, of course, amazing and have some of the best stadium artwork out there, so great to add them.

The anime cards are also incredible, I was a big fan of the anime as a kid and more obscure cards are some of my favourites so these are very cool. The one with Misty, Slowpoke and Psyduck is S tier. The Slowpoke from the egg is also very sweet and currently sitting on my desk.

The Tony’s chocolate is delicious and the mint liquorice maybe the most disgusting thing i’ve ever put into my mouth. I’m looking forward to to trying the bars.

Finally some incredible artwork for the opening of The Dizzy Stadium TM

On top of all this the letter you wrote was incredibly nice. I’d love to be able to thank you personally if you’d like to reveal yourself here or send me a pm, all good if not though, it was all great. Big big thanks.

Thanks a lot for your secret santa gift @jakyol

I love the illustration grand prix charizard and I still needed that in my collection. While I am not a graded collector, I have got to say I like the CGC case better than the PSA one, the case is just more sleek or something. I also like all the wailord items, the reverse with 200 hp gave me a lot of nostalgia since I remember trading 10 of my rares for a reverse wailord with 200 hp from great encounters which was the most hp I had ever seen on a pokemon, loved it.

And there is the second part, 5 packs and 5 pulls, if that is not the christmas spirit I do not know what is.

Also there was a christmas hanger included which went straight into the christmas tree so I did not make a picture of it. It was the pikachu with the christmas hat from the pokemon center. All in all thanks a lot!!

Haha. I don’t know a single foreign person who likes liquorice (or ā€˜drop’, as we Dutchmen would call it), even though I personally like almost any liquorice variant (honey, sour, sweet, salty, English, mint). Although I have to admit mint is my least favorite ā€˜drop’ flavor.

(And no, I’m not your Secret Santa. Just thought your line above was funny.)

Greetz,
Quuador

Tony Chocolony isn’t even high quality chocolate. But at least it’s fairtrade

I was warned that it was an acquired taste lol, though I can say it was worse than I was expecting

I got a call this morning saying that a package had arrive for me from the Netherlands … turns out it was my secret santa present! Thanks to @thymeee and props for also realizing my birthday was close and throwing in a birthday drawing!

No clues on what I said my fav pokemon was

Always fun participating in E4 secret santa, thanks again @funmonkey54 for doing a great job organising it!

@dizzylochs Really ecstatic to know that you liked the package. It was my first ever so I had a lot of fun doing it, was a bit nervous since it took quite a while to get to you. I learnt a lot about Stadium Cards in the process and it is certainly a great collection niche. Your stadium list helped immensely.

And as @quuador mentioned, it is very rare for foreigners to like the taste of Drop. You probably made the same face I did when I had it for the first time. It takes some getting used to and my trick was not to bite into it but let it just roll in your mouth. Now I think the ā€œdubbelzoutā€ (double salt) is one of best candies out there and makes a good eat after meals.

Happy new year to you and again it was a privilege putting this together.

Cheers!

My secret santa arrived yesterday, I was so excited to see a box arrive from the states as I knew it couldn’t be anything else. Massive thank you to @thatpikachuguy a lot of thought and effort went into this and I really appreciate it. I feel you went above and beyond on this one, it brought a big smile to my face! One of my family said I didn’t get as excited about any of the presents they got me

First off when I opened the box I saw this, everything beautifully wrapped!

The first thing I opened was the drawing which is epic! I love it!

And I even got a bonus drawing in a Christmas card:

So it also turns out there is a Pokemon cereal?!! Who knew?! Additionally I received a gold plated Pikachu card still sealed in its box and pokeball, a Charizard figure, some candy sticks.

This stunning postcard, I have never seen this before. Absolutely loving the artwork:

And it doesn’t end there! There was a champions path ETB with a pikachu pin attached and inside more goodies individually wrapped.

Inside one of the wrapped parcels were a bunch of Charizard evolution’s cards and a RH fire energy which I guess is a nod to my username  The charmeleon from hidden fates is such a beautiful card, and really chuffed to get a sealed charizard V promo. They are all fantastic cards you did a awesome job on picking them out! All looking pretty minty so will probably send to PSA sometime in the future!

And it still doesn’t end there. There were 17 packs all from different sets! I opened them up, it felt great I had a ton of fun and guilt free opening as they were a present. I don’t buy a lot of modern so really wasn’t sure what to expect from the packs which made it even more exciting!

My highlights below, yes I included the frying pan because I thought it was a fun/quirky trainer, the pikachu is a common but it looks badass as a reverse foil, the shiftry is just dazzling in the light and I think the hand drawn style of the camerupt is what I like the most:

What a great Christmas present! Really helped perk up my January!

Huge thank you to @martincollects for my amazing Secret Santa gift. Even though my Politoed collection is pretty extensive, I didn’t own a single non-English or non-Japanese one, so the three German ones (and rare ones at that!) and two French ones are especially welcome. I also love the non-TCG Japanese Politoed cards, below the awesome drawing. I’ve actually never seen the one on the left or right before, so any information about those would be appreciated! The Castforms are fantastic, too… Those have been on my wants list forever but I’ve been too lazy and cheap to pull the trigger myself. Everything is fantastic, and I am truly blessed.

Big thanks to my SS Tate! I got my gift in today and am very happy with the gifts!

It’s silly, but being a coin collector the Snorlax coins were the biggest surprise to me! And I definitely wasn’t expecting a Snorlax marble bag with a dozen marbles including one for my favorite Pokemon Snorlax! The picture was a bit crumbling in shipping but it’s being flattened out and will be put at the front of one of my Pokemon coin binders.

Mail day for me today. I didn’t recieve a username from my sender and don’t want to utilize the personal name that was on the package in case they rather keep that private. Thank you very much for the kind gifts. The pikachu hair tie was a thoughtful gesture to my newborn daughter. She has a ton of hair so I am sure I will be utilizing it soon .

The politoed drawing is phenomenal. Geez. So many great drawings. I’m just so glad there are so many creative and artistic people here. Pokemon interest has always been very artistic minded. Pokemon people just enjoy the finer things in life. *Sigh with satisfaction*

wow, I just opened mine and that’s all I can say. Thank you so much @waynesworld seriously what an awesome set of gifts. My kid was soooo pumped when he saw the scythers (he says he is now of the opinion that the grass cutting scyther is the best scyther there is)

team rocket charmander??? some of my favorite art ever! And the southern islands PSA 10 to top it off, seriously man, insanely generous and insanely awesome gift. Thank you so much, A+, 10/10, 100% loved it

@primordialaa, I’m so glad it finally got to you! It was my first time participating and I was nervous as heck waiting for the gift to get delivered!

I agree with your son; The dynamics of that artwork is insane! So glad he enjoys the cards

As for your gifts, you mentioned that Hitmonchan was your favorite original Pokemon, so I got you a Vending Series 2 sheet with the Hitmonchan card. If you decide to peel them, it should be the bottom right of the sheet! Team Rocket Charmander is so badass but I am a Squirtle lover all the way so I had to include that  And of course, your E4 avatar, Grimer (although not the banned version). I hope the Southern Islands slab can kick start you into collecting this niche set; There’s some BIG cards in there with awesome awesome artwork! I especially loved the Dragonite in this particular card.

Can’t say how much fun I had putting your gift together. Happy Holidays to you and your family, again  Aloha!

Had no idea these peeled! and once we figured it out my kid said ā€œIt’s Hitmonchan beating up a hot dogā€ which made my night lolol. Thanks again, you crushed it this year !

@primordialaaGotta admit Lapras is one of the best looking Vending series cards with Articuno and Dewgong.
