I’ve been getting some weird Amazon prize popup that only happens on this site. It’s been weird lately

I’m getting a redirect to spam/virus sites.

Are y’all using Tapatalk?

Yesterday it said the site was down for maintenance. Other than that iv had no issues.

Using Chrome on an Android phone and I can ditto the redirects to an Amazon spam site.

everything’s good on my desktop

Same here

The past few days when I go on efour off my iPhone it does this also

I was on ebay (not the app) on my phone last night and an amazon spam page came up. Could just be a problem with mobile internet use in general?

The reason you all are getting these pop ups is due to your cookies and history. Anyone can view your cookies through the web and track what you search (unless using a vpn). Wonder why plane prices rise randomly if you don’t search incognito? It’s due to your cookies. These malware and virus ads that pop up are only harmful if you intensionally click on them and start downloading what they are trying to offer. If you want the spam and pop ups to stop, just delete your cookies and history. It’s a temporary solution that you’ll have to keep doing. Really though I would just leave it as is and ignore it. Cookies are good for your computer to remember the sites you like and sources.

What browser are you using Gary ?

It’s actually something different. Seems to be an issue with the actual ad network not vetting sources well enough.

It should just be for people on mobile… I browse on Safari on my iPhone and on chrome on my desktop. I have never had an issue on my desktop but this has been a problem a few times on mobile. I remember Gary saying that he likes to go on here on his iPad, so it makes sense. I had it happen yesterday, the unexpected reload caught me twice in the middle of typing a post. I don’t know what causes it but it seems relatively harmless if you ignore it.

Gary’s problem is a refresh issue. Not the pop up issue everyone else is dealing with. It could be a few things. Need to know what he’s using in order to help.

could be, but I can confirm the popup of ads happens on both pc and mobile. I use both and deal with the same thing. Not a real problem. Just annoying sometimes.
