Do you think they will do a reprint?

Hey everyone just wanted your thoughts if you believe in the current market they will reprint more celebrations?

kind regards,

As far as Pokémon Center UK is concerned it looks as though the PC ETB is still in print. Either that, or they made an absolute shit tonne of them and they haven’t all shifted yet. They’re constantly in stock whatever the case. On the whole we can’t know for sure and TPCi does whatever their magic 8 ball tells them to as far as reprints go, but on a spectrum of likelihoods I think it’s less likely than a typical set just because of its tie to the 25th year celebration.

The only product that might see some reprinting is the ultra premium collection because they could sell a gigaton at such a high msrp. The only other thing is that they could use a celebrations reprint to offload excess battlestyles, darkness ablaze, and fusion strike packs.

Seems unlikely to reprint the UPC - production is more complicated with the metal cards and other components involved

Seeing as it was for their 25th anniversary and that was in 2021, I would guess not. But who knows. Just seems like it would be weird to print cards for year 25 when we are fast approaching year 27 at this point.

They have reprinted celebrations. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if they printed more. They even did a couple waves of the upc.

This article I think indicates that the printers today have no problem going brr: 21% of all Pokemon Cards Ever Made Were Sold in 2021

At the end of the day, we need to remember that the Pokémon Company is an international business with a first and foremost priority of making money. So in short, yes I do believe that there will be a reprint of Celebrations considering how beloved the product is.

Mason from Card 'N All Gaming made a really great video about this.

Probably. I’m under the assumption that any set made in swsh era and sm era has potential to show up again, especially if there is demand for the set. We saw Hidden Fates tins/etbs in 2021, Cosmic Eclipse packs in the Arceus box in 2022, SM base etbs in 2021, 3 pack blisters of Ultra Prism and other SM sets in late 2020, and much smaller restocks of other sm era sets on Pokemoncenter over the last 2 years. Some may be reprints, others may simply be excess packs that are being put into product to move inventory. I don’t know enough to tell which is which, but the point illustrates that sets can and will pop up after they are supposedly “out of print”.

Another major component is the demand for a particular set. Celebrations is one of the most popular sets of the modern era and it got huge waves of product, but people still ask about it and are actively looking for it.

Branded anniversary product looks especially dated if it sits on shelves for too long. If a reprint is going to happen then my guess would be leaning towards moderation.

I could definitely see a reprint of this set. I could see them not sending it out to stores to sit on the shelf but where they sell it directly from the website.

That just seems so insane to me! Holy foiled cardboard, Batman!

Crazy to think that of the 9.1 billion cards printed, 9 out of 11 in the packs are nothing more than bulk (82% of the pack), and any promos printed are offset by the loads of energy cards given in ETBs and other things.
