Dilemma: Trophy card or a graded N64 game

yes well known

if a company isnt known to americans doesnt mean it isnt legit or proffesional. not everything in the world is bout america. psa sometime grades 9’s as 10 and the opposite so? doesnt mean a thing

Hello, I’m Canadian, thank you :canada:

Not everyone lives in America

How often does the Snap game come up? I always see Pearls for sale.

I personally don’t follow graded or sealed games, but I feel that I don’t really see sealed graded snap games. The Pearl on the other hand has been pretty common over the past year. Its still expensive, don’t get me wrong, but I definitely have seen more pearls come through than that snap game. But ya, I agree with the earlier advice. Go for the more scarce item then get the more common one later.

Very nice! I totally feel you on that. All my cards are mainly of the older Pokemon and I rarely collect the newer ones

Personally I’d do the game.

I’m not knowledgeable about videogame market, but I’ll try giving you an opinion as an unbiased person walking in your house. The game imho is a cooler display item, and will sparkle the interest of majority of people.

I would add that not everything should be bought to have a better ROI, reading your posts I think you’ll regret not buying what you truly like.

aye i do care a lot about the TCG but as i got to a conclusion buying the new trophies ie not the originals (most new i like is the victory ring with pikachu) doesn’t do it for me. i collect lots of other graded pokemon stuff like VHS, mangas and also games. about the ROI i could care less. not collecting to sell.

I’d pick the PAL snap!
I’m biased as I’m in the UK and prefer PAL games though haha.

i agree i already got to the conclusion. that game is too rare to pass on and the pearl isn’t really one of the trophies im aiming at. thank you for the insight

@TheMarillFoundation i didnt forget you about the corocoro book with the marill card i just sent msg to the seller now again. will let you know

N64 game but recase with WATA or VGA

UKG is pretty well known. the price surge coz something is with VGA is absurd.

Do you want ā€˜a trophy’ or the Mysterious Pearl specifically? If it’s the former I would strongly consider the game (though keep in mind it’s the PAL version, which will affect resale value). The impression I get from this thread is you want that specific game versus a general type of high-end card.

If I were choosing for myself then I would get the Pearl without question.

I would definitely go with the game. Although I’d stick with the NA version because that’s what I remember, lol.

From what I’m reading you and I have very similar tastes in what we collect. I personally am not interested in any of the popular cards like the scroll, key, pearl, orb, ring, etc… While I can appreciate them, they have no place in my collection. I’m here really to get my Gen 1 & 2 collecting fix.

for the pearl i have mixed fillings as i dont like pokemon much past gen 2 and like the older trophies more.
for the resale its not an issue as im not collecting for selling or ROI.

i love the victory ring with pikachu in it. for the scroll/key ? they dont even seem connected to pokemon and an art of a scroll versus an art of TMB tropical wind is much more appreciated by me (and all the other tropies like trainer no 1/2/3 TMB stadium. i dont like gen 3 and up in general

for the version of the game, im from israel so that is far more near where i live than north america lol but the thing is also the NA version has a lot more availability i like the art on the EU version and its more scarce.

I wouldn’t buy a card I have mixed feelings about (unless it’s for completing a set).
