Diana, Princess of Wales sadly passed away in 1997, a year after the release of Pokemon Base Set in Japan.
From what I gather, her last trip to Japan was in Februry 1995. It is however still possible someone may have requested her to sign something Pokemon related in 1996 or 1997. Has anyone ever heard of a Princess Diana signed card?
Imagine just filling a binder with cards signed by celebrities that dont have any affiliation to pokemon. Would be weird but definitely cool and unique
@0ean The words āt r u m pā and āb u b b l eā (without spaces of course) are both automatically changed to āOur honorable presidentā and ābubbleā.
The first to avoid talk about politics, although itās pretty annoying with words like āto Our honorable presidentā (āto t r u m pā).
As for the other one that starts with a B, I think it was changed after some discussions on Discord (not sure since I wasnāt active on Discord at that time yet). The weird thing with this one, is that every time you edit without changing that word, it recursively modifies it, since āb u b b l e b a t hā contains the word āb u b b l eā itself. Those kind of things is why I personally hate censoring, but whatever.
But to be back on topic: a Captain Pikachu jumbo signed by Johnny āCaptain Jack Sparrowā Depp would be pretty cool.
I spoke with Renae Plant, Director of the Princess Diana Museum, which specializes in Dianaās personal items, memorabilia, and signed items. She confirmed that while unlikely, it is not impossible such a card exists. Diana did do signings in public of personal items in 1996 and 1997.
I just wanted to say that I love your dedication in looking into this. I saw your recent post on Instagram with Diana and I actually said āNO WAYā out loud - then I realised it was photoshopped, hahaha
And how could censoring the name of POTUS to read āhonorable presidentā be a way to *avoid* talking about politics? (Itās an accurate statementāheās a an excellent and honorable president!ābut it comes off as a snide political remark)
