dark persian rocket error?

i’m probably being dumb but i can’t find any info on this. so obviously poison claws is supposed to be 10 damage instead of 0. it’s probably just photoshopped but i’d figure i’d ask anyways lol

Seems photoshopped to me. Fooled around with exposure and contrast and there seems to be signs of clone stamping or something similar:

Kinda fun looking at this image on 29a.ch/photo-forensics/#forensic-magnifier

Some curious flatness next to the 0

Can confirm. Photoshopped.

Edit: Could easily fool anyone checking through their phone though.

that’s so cool!! yeah it’s definitely fake :stuck_out_tongue:

the funny thing is, it’s not even listed as an ‘error card’ or whatever. maybe the seller did it to incentivize a purchase lol

That would be my guess. Is this from an actual listing? If so, I’d definitely share it so we can blacklist them. I see no other reason for doing this kind of edit job unless you’re trying to push for a ridiculous price and prey upon people.

It’s the only copy up on eBay, and he’s not asking an outlandish price either ($50). He has a lot of good feedback too, maybe reach out to the seller and have him double-check his copy.

Is it possible to know that the effect shown is not a result of the printing process instead of Photoshop?

Ah. I was assuming that it was a bid listing. Strange.

so uh, it got taken down about an hour after this thread was made, and i assume someone bought it, but now it’s back up again with the exact same picture?? lmao ok

Check some other cards listed by this seller—they seem to have a similar issue, probably as a result of a camera or scanner!

huh, you’re right. but still, that’s a heck of a coincidence that it just so happens to perfectly cover up that exact space :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s the scanner. If you put on dust removal setting on the Epson v37 it’ll do that. Which is why occasionally my cards look dusty/have white specks that people message me asking “are those white specks on the card or scanner?” Then I roll my eyes knowing the alternative is the have my images missing black ink.
