He is on the forum too! @canman202020 I still need to pick one of those up from him sometime. I started as a U.S. coin collector from very young, before Pokemon even, so I have always had one of each unique Pokemon coins that I come across in the same style holders and pages as @credits has here. It looks very nice! Impressive collection and the theme deck exclusive collection is very nice. Do you buy every theme deck that comes out, or just buy them as singles?

Mostly singles as its cheaper but some are hard to find like the lesser known cards ie. The ones that arent the focus of the theme deck. Getting from a sealed deck ensures a mint version though + the added benefit of a mint coin, playmat and other promotional items which I like aswell. The last card I received to complete it was the non holo dugtrio funny enough. Thanks

if you dont wanna buy a $40 thing, use could use this list bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Coin_(TCG)

Wow two things in one week for me, im super stoked. Received the 2015 world champs xy91 today to be current with all my XY Promos. Man its a good week!

That Chesnaught BreakThrough promo is wicked awesome!

I finally have collated our collection (or the best parts of it anyways in one location in flickr after seeing someone else on here using it way back. I love how you can manage images in different ways. Mainly using it as a secondary online storage location for image storage for insurance purposes.

The main limbs of our collection tree are:
XY BLACK STAR PROMOS
THEME DECK EXCLUSIVE CARDS
TCG COINS
&
ENGLISH ENERGY CARDS

or you can view everything HERE (some albums not done yet)
We hope to have our Pokedex current to gen6 with only the few unreleased 'mon from gen7 soon!

I cannot wait to see that coin collection binder completed. That will look awesome!

Keep it up!

I would really like a coin collection. Is it expensive?

@tpokeman Thankyou, maybe one day!

@missingno Like most collections yes and no. I generally get coins in lots rather than singles. When i started it was easier but because of the boom some sellers think old is expensive. Being that coins dont have a huge following price is subjective and someone selling newer coins that have come from a product broken apart for profit, they are only really priced accordingly based on making a profit from everything combined.

So unexpectedly early we had some cards come in yesterday that added to and completed some branches.

The Blaziken & Gardevoir are non-holo variants from the Ruby & Sapphire EX Battle Stadium release and the other 4 are non-holo variants from Unseen Forces Epic Collection releases of their main counterparts. The Feraligatr collection was the only release to include an extra variant, Slowbro.

Additionally the last 3 cards came in to render our Pokedex complete to gen6 and are only missing the recent Crimson Invasion released gen7 pokemon. Other gen7 'mon havent made it yet because they only exist in GX forme which is not desired. Will add them when available.

I wanted to share our journey with the Pokedex because for me it has the the most fun and involved collection piece since starting to collect pokemon with my daughter about 3 years ago.
We originally started a pokedex because it was realized how many different pokemon we had in mostly the bulk cards laying around, so that was fun to have them all laid out over the floor picking our favorites at the time and collating them into a binder. Lots of holes and maybe 50% complete from that about a year and a half back. Then I made a google spreadsheet of the remaining and through playing league, local play and trading acquired more and more to fill the holes. Our LCS has been visited weekly where cards were purchased at no more than 10c per card from incoming bulk. We have never spent any more than 10c per card or trading! So the actual hunt for cards was fantastic.
Having gained these last few cards yesterday it occurred to me what doing this has actually meant to me. Firstly it was a great bonding subject with my kid and something she can keep forever over any other part of our collection, but then it really gave me a greater appreciation for the art and how many illustrations have been done since the conception of Pokemon (and I have surely only seen a small part) through this. But I see so often that people say so casually “thats a nice artwork” and I wonder how much they really mean it. It almost sounds like something they just repeat without thought. Please understand, Im not passing judgement on any individual, maybe they do mean what they say but it really does seem almost frequently automated based on what other people say or just the hunt for the more expensive cards to show off their collation in folders or whatever (Shiny syndrome). For me collecting started because it sparked an old flame in me that I saw in the eyes of my daughter and then how happy it made her. As someone who likes art, took art in school and occasionally go on artistic rampages, I liked the art, mainly for specific cards, but the goal was to “complete”. It’s my nature. But scanning the pages in yesterday gave another opportunity to view everything together. It occurred to me that we have changed out many a card in place of a more liked “artwork” or because a non-shiny (or shiny) version popped better or finding 2 cards of the same pokemon at the LCS we would debate over which was better, cooler or liked (she would always win  ). Delta Species versions were also fun to discover with their alternate types. So it really brought that aspect specifically to light and the greater appreciation of the artwork. Also looking though brings back memories of other aspects of pokemon I’ve encountered such as Magikarp which reminds me of playing Pixelmon on Minecraft and that voice “magikarp” when around water.

Other cards that I love are Sceptile from Emerald - it took me forever to understand this card. It just looked like a blur until I grasped how he was standing and moving through the card.

Medicham from Primal Clash because I used it in deck and it was cheap and awesome with Focus Sash and Strong Energies with the Ancient trait.

Mantyke, Cranidos & Sawsbuck because they were the hardest 3 to find!

Some of my favorite artworks are
Drifblim

Togekiss (pulled the reverse of this from a pack and I fell i love with this style of reverse because of how fragile they are!)

Cobalion

Hope you enjoy our Pokedex (click here) and would love to see other peoples. Post a link!

I also have my own “PokeDex” binder  I probably should show it some day. Gens 1-5 have been completed and Gen 6 is only missing a few cards. Gen 7 still needs filling of course but it doesn’t look too bad at the moment
