This is the first TCG card Takumi Akabane ever illustrated.
I own the only BGS 10 copy in the entire world.
I’ve planned to keep this card in my forever collection and have always viewed it as being like a special “divine energy,” as it’s the first ever holographic pokemon energy card ever created for the Pokemon TCG, and it’s the highest graded version of this card to ever exist. Not to mention, that it is currently pop 1 with BGS. I have always thought it was the most beautiful card ever and admired it dearly because of the history behind it.
Here comes the crazy part…
I stumbled upon this card on Goldin auctions in early 2022.
My winning bid on this card ended up being $666 (before buyers premium.)
I never could figure out why my autobid came through as that demonic number at the end of the auction? But never really put too much thought into it.
However, it’s always been SUPER unsettling to me knowing that I won it for that demonic price of $666 considering that it’s a rainbow energy after all.
When I received this slab in the mail, I always felt like it had the strangest energy attached to it from the moment I first held it…it would make me feel so many different emotions everytime I would hold it in my hands and admire it.
Fast forward to 2024 and all of this news starts to unfold about Akabane, and this whole situation is starting to make me feel extremely uncomfortable.
What do you all think chat? Is this slab cursed? Does it hold demonic powers within it? What should I do with it? Burn it in a fire? am I cursed now? Have I been cursed ever since I won this on Goldin auctions back in early 2022 for the demonic price of $666?
All jokes aside, I just wanted to share with you all this very strange story, given the current situation unfolding with Takumi Akabane.
