CP3 'Pokekyun' Collection Mini-Set

Man, this sucks…

Edit; There’s also 5 Full Arts in the set, so if they are only giving 2 in a box, well it’s clear they are really driving the $$$ here…

Nearly picked up a box when I was in town today. Decided against it…they’d end up in a pile of cards I don’t want. I just like opening packs…!

I ordered just one box thinking it would be possible to complete the set… Well, I guess I will buy or trade the ones that I’m going to miss. My order was shipped this morning so I hope I get it next week, can’t wait!

I find it funny that everyone is upset that you need to get more than one box to complete a set. Isn’t the point of collecting to have a challenge? :stuck_out_tongue:

That being said, since all the FAs and EXs are RR, I’ve seen anywhere from 2-5 awarded in a box.

Same thoughts on it.
If you could get them all wouldnt they just sell them as a deck box?

Is that what I am doing wrong.

I thought the point is to

You gents may find it “funny”, but this mini set breaks tradition. Previous CP sets have all had one set in a box.

Completing sets are never a challenge, it’s totally how much money you throw at it and how many boxes you buy.

If you want a challenge, go run a marathon. Remember, these mini sets come out between larger sets, do we need them to progress to being entirely normal sets? So instead of releasing 4 sets a year it would be 5 or 6?

These boxes are already more expensive than normal booster boxes too…

I mean… Shiny Collection you couldn’t complete in one box?

Both CP1 “Magma Gang vs Aqua Gang: Double Crisis” and CP2 “Kira Collection” we’re both 1 box = full set.

This set is CP3 and I can tell Pokémon have sold enough CP2 to try and capitalise on the craze by lowering pull rates. If you disagree, then explain =)

I dont want to jump into this argument. But just as a side thing. Weren’t CP1 and 2 doable in 1 box if you were lucky but generally took 2?

I am okey with these pull rates, but would be more so if the cards that were harder to get were secrets. And you would get one amazing retro secret per box and with luck two. Rest of the set should be in the box, or almost like with the other sets. But no worries, i’Ve got four on the way and only need that pikachu

From my experience of opening two of each box, both contained the full set in each box and CP2 even usually contained an extra Hoopa EX or Pikachu EX (I got an extra Hoopa in my first box).

I ordered 3 boxes. I was going to keep one Sealed, but now I might have to open it… Dammit…

On the off chance I don’t pull one in my two boxes I may be PM’ing you asking if you have an extra

Maybe you could all make thread in the trade section and list what you have (for trade) and what you need? This would be an economical and faster (if enough people participated) way to complete the set than buying more boxes individually.

4 full arts and 2 exs in one box, well ;o

That’s the best rate I have seen in the short time since release. It’s still 6/7 on the RR cards though =/

Overall this is probably a better idea, but I’m simply looking for the Pikachu. The rest is a bonus. I should have clarified a little better in my post that if I didn’t get a Pikachu in the two boxes I’d hit up AJ to ask if he had a second Pikachu. Hahah.

@justinator gotcha Just trying to help!

And for what it is worth, throwing money at a set to complete it is a challenge. At least for most. When I look into purchasing a card, I don’t look at the price in dollars. I do the math and say “Would I trade X number of hours to my workplace in order to obtain this card?” And then I work until I can afford it. Often times that means taking the extra 15-30 minutes they offer at the end of shifts while the last forms to process come through or agreeing to work a shift at the factory that I don’t want. That is, without fail, challenging.

I definitely don’t mean this as a criticism or to be negative, but it’s a thought worth considering that I think gets overlooked a lot.
