Comic book collectors on E4

Many thanks for the reply

As pokecollectoramy stated, www.cgccomics.com/boards is possibly the best place on the Internet for advise, as I’m a little inexperienced when it comes to magazines; but they’re a great bunch of people on there; but I still would like your opinion on whether I should sell some for Pokemon WOTC items ~

There’s a lot of comics too.
I’d hang on to the wotc stuff cause it’s what I enjoy. It probably comes down to priorities.

You’re right

I may sell some or trade some comics for some WOTC stuff in time as I wanna build up my collection which includes individual cards and the 1st edition Team Rocket and Neo Discovery boxes ~

40 long boxes is wild! I actually don’t have many raw comics at all, maybe about 15 total with the rest being slabbed

One of my comics: Showcase #14 (4th appearance of Barry Allen); which might be a 2.0 - 2.5 in grading ~

@omahaanime…are you looking to sell?

Im looking for a graded good quality Betty and Me #16.

… hehe

To go on display next to your Rifleman 10? Lol

I’m actually in the same boat as @omahanime. Time to get rid of.
They just take up so much room and I’m not interested in the stories as much as I used to be.
I know for the ones I love I bought them in their Omnibus/Absolute editions and pretty happy displaying them that way.

There’s been a few times I’ve thought about dabbling in comic books. I love wolverine and nearly impulse purchased some graded copies of wolverine origins last year.

This came in the post today: Canadian newsstand edition of Amethyst #1 ~ I only managed to get this in 9.2, as they’re rather difficult to get, more so the fact there’s only two of them on CGC’s census - and I have one of them :3

Your tag didn’t work because you had too many a’s.
Yes I was hoping to have someone over to the house this year to make an offer and then Covid-19 hit.

Don’t know how that happened…lol…do you have any golden age btw? (ideally 1939-1945)

No
Silver and up

I’ve been collecting the Milestone Comics since the announcement of a Static Shock film :3

Is there a lot of people in the hobby who don’t enjoy reading comics at all? I assume so, given that many Pokemon collectors don’t or have never played the TCG game.

I own some comics, usually i just buy them when i like the cover artwork. Ive got dark knight medal signed by scott snyder and spawn #1 signed by todd mcfarlane

Not really into the older cover art but I’m a sucker for foil or gold variants of my favorite characters. I’ll leave the gallery link here so it doesn’t clog up this thread.

I have this beauty and bought it for $1000 about 3 weeks ago right as the prices were surging (still are). Same book is currently selling for 1600 + now online…insane

and here is a Star Wars #1 signed by Daniel Logan. I sold the Mandalorian Hot Toy the other day :slightly_frowning_face:
