Clear Card Sleeves with perfect fit for Pokémon Cards?

Hi all,

Currently I’m only sleeving holos or very rare cards in my collection, but I’ve been thinking about sleeving my entire Pikachu collection, and still holos/rares outside my Pikachu collection. I personally prefer transparent/clear sleeves on both sides, that fit the card perfectly. Currently I’m using a slightly too big transparent sleeve that I’ve a few years ago, or transparent sleeves that come with the cards I buy, and when I put them in my Ultra Pro 9-slot binder it isn’t a really good fit (the sleeves ripple up)…

The sleeves that I bought years ago are 6.75 x 9.3 mm, and the ones I’m looking for should be around 6.4 x 9.0 mm.

So, does anyone know where to buy transparent/clear sleeves in these dimensions (or close to) with shipping to The Netherlands? And preferably without the round symbols like Ultra Pro usually has.

Thanks.

What you want are Ultra Pro Premium Sleeves, and they’re super available on Ebay

Don’t get the Ultra Pro’s they’re a VERY tight fit and can bend the cards over time or you can bend them while struggling to make them fit. Best ones are from KMC:

I use them for Magic and they fit perfectly. Here’s a video review of Ultra Pro, KMC, etc.

I’ve had cards in my ultra pro premium sleeves for 7 years and they haven’t bent, they are absolutely NOT tight, they fit perfectly

edit; the above video shows ultra pro ‘pro fit’ sleeves, they are different to premium sleeves

I would recommend the KMC perfect Fits too. They fit perfectly (as they should with that name) but at the same time don’t bend your cards and they are still easy to put on. I sleeve all my cards with them and then put regular deck sleeves around the holos or better for double protection.

Hmm, well I’ve already ordered the Ultra Pro Premium Sleeves. If they indeed turn out to be too tight, I know which ones to buy next time.
Will post back here when they’ve arrived.

I predict you’ll see you’ve been fed misinformation

Just going to share my experience with sleeves.

I started out by buying Ultra Pro penny sleeves. They’re perfectly fine.

Eventually, I heard about these KMC Perfect Fit sleeves that got great reviews from people. I ordered them thinking I could double sleeve my cards to give them an extra layer of protecting while they’re in my Dragon Hide binders.

What I found was that double sleeving cards already in a binder hurt the visibility of the cards too much. If the point of a collection is to enjoy it, all the sleeves were being counterproductive to my collection.

So I tried just using the KMC sleeves… I did find that the perfect fit sleeves made the cards bend a little… which perhaps was very correctable, but it was something that didn’t make me particularly happy. I also found that the sleeves were so tight fitting that the cards would move around in the binder as I moved through the pages. For this reason, I eventually abandoned the KMC Perfect Fit sleeves altogether and stuck with the Ultra Pro penny sleeves.

However, I did eventually find a use for my perfect fit sleeves. I’ve recently purchased a bunch of 1995-1997 Topsun and Bandai cards. These cards are smaller than standard Pokemon TCG cards. They’re actually too small for standard Ultra Pro penny sleeves in my opinion (they work, but it just doesn’t feel right putting a card in a sleeve that’s way too big). So I put all of these cards in the KMC Perfect Fit sleeves I ordered. They’re not a “perfect fit” for these cards but they’re a much better fit than what I get from a penny sleeve. So at least I found a good use for them.

Apparently (Edit), I am using the Ultra Pro 100 Pcs Soft Card Sleeves, 2 5/8 x 3 5/8-Inches.

The sleeves are just big enough to comfortably put cards in and take cards out.

They fit the Ultra Pro 9-Pocket Trading Card Pages - Platinum Series (100 Pages) Almost perfectly.

You can see “the sleeves ripple up” slightly. But in a binder it does flatten out and holds them securely.

Overall, I love them lol

As a side note, I know that KMC Perfect Fit Minis (usually used for Yugioh, Vanguard, etc.) are Bandai Carddass sized.

I also use KMC perfect fit and I find that sometimes they are too tight and ever so slightly bend the card, but most of the time they’re a nice fit.

I have used Ultra pro clear deck protectors for some pretty rugged protection, but clarity is definitely an issue with those. I’ve also used KMCs for quite awhile now too. In my experience, although KMCs are perfect for 99% of japanese cards they are sometimes too tight for WOTC cards, which usually results in me trying another sleeve from the package until I find one that fits just right. Also in my opinion (maybe just personal preference) KMCs aren’t enough protection for true mint PSA quality WOTC cards, in a binder or otherwise.

Several cards I’ve purchased from japan have been in an off brand near perfect sleeve, like a slightly bigger and stronger perfect fit sleeve, maybe 64 x 90 mm. I often wonder what kind they are so I can go buy a bunch of em’

Are you sure you’re using premium sleeves? the sleeves you have look like a standard penny/soft sleeves, here is what a premium sleeve looks like

The sleeves are a perfect fit for pokemon cards

and you will not see any type of sleeve ripple

Currently I just use ultra pro penny sleeves for most cards, ultra pro clear deck protectors for some others, and then the holos get double sleeved in a deck sleeve with a penny sleeve upside down over the top. Switched new binder collections into the ultra pro side loading pages though, so now I use deck sleeve only for all cards. I will have to give these premium sleeves a try. Have never heard of them.

My opinion on anything “perfect fit” is that they are certainly not for me at all and far from perfect in my eyes. I have seen bending and edge wear produced by the “perfect” fit that they give to the card. More like a hug of death. I have pried too many entire collections from the grasps of those awful things and would never wish that awful experience on anyone. I can’t speak to the brand that they were, but they were all way tighter than necessary.

Also Use KMC Perfect fit sleeves, Find them to be best IMO

Woops! My mistake! I could’ve sworn it said “Premium” on the front but they don’t :slightly_frowning_face:

Sorry!
