Chances of converting this Pikachu to a psa 10?

If you were to ship this to PSA for a conversion, would it have a good chance of making a 10? There’s no back listed, but was just curious.

Here is the back photo, you can look it up based on cert number.

It’s hard to say if something will cross from one grading company to another. Surface condition especially can be difficult to judge by photos.

Reviews are like an actual scam imo

If you were to crack and submit I’d say it has a good shot

The PSA 10 rate is pretty good. If the rate was very low, I would say definitely don’t try. If you end up sending it to PSA, make sure that you crack and submit rather than cross.

crack so they can get a better look at it? that’s a huge risk if they don’t come back with a 10.

When PSA does a grading crossover service they literally just review it inside the graded case of the other company you have it graded with. If I remember correctly you put down what grade you are willing to have it busted out of the case for.

Yes, busting it out yourself is risking it because it might get a 9 or lower(for whatever reason) and then you have to crack it again, resub it to CGC, in the hopes it gets a CGC 10 again. But many believe it offers a more impartial grading service because to them it is just a raw card, because it is.

Would sending it in as a gem mint 10, then asking for a 10 be the best move? Say a 10 is worth the case break in the notes? I feel as if knowing the card being graded is a 10 might increase your odds.

No because lets say I’m PSA:

Sees CGC 10 Card
“Wow, nice card, hmmm, can’t fully tell so I’ll give it a 9. Oh but minimum to crack out is a 10? Alrighty CGC 10 it is I guess”

The goal to crack it out yourself is to remove the bias’ that may be there which are especially likely in a cross over even if its subconscious on their part.

I would advise someone to never crack a 10 to aim for a 10.

Generally, CGC Gem Mint 10 is not identical to PSA Gem Mint 10. It’s more like cracking a BGS 9.5 or an old CGC 9.5 to a PSA 10. If it was a CGC Pristine 10, I would not advise cracking it.

Just keep it in its superior slab form. Looks great as is.
