CGC changing labels on my submission

I have 3 orders currently at CGC(1 is missing in their building ). Two of the subs had correct labeling description when I submitted my order. During the grading process why does CGC change it to what they think it’s supposed to be?

My inverted stamp pika got switch to the normal version and my French Pika got changed to the Gotta Mag glossy version when it’s clearly not. I’ve called and spoken to them twice about already. They told me it was done during research to correctly identify the card. I’m not sure what ā€˜research’ they did if they identified it incorrectly yet again.

Has anyone had any experience similar and if so what are the options to get it corrected while at CGC so I don’t want money having to send it back for the correct label.

This is how CGC works. They know it but don’t want to fix it.

Their system is massively disconnected from handling the input data from card submission, acceptance/checking, all the way to label creation.

Most of the time their website doesn’t align with the label on your card.

If you send them an email they’ll most likely have you send your mislabeled cards back in to be fixed with a ā€˜mechanical error’ designation.

I’m guessing you’re sending in a error card? I can’t say I’ve ever seen send in an error submission and NOT have it mislabeled.

I might be the lucky one cause I’ve only had 1 incorrect label over the last 5 years but they will give you a free label to send it back for ā€œmechanical errorā€ if they make the mistake. It’s just more of a time waste than anything

It is a error card. The inverted stamp Pikachu. For some reason during grading they changed it to the regular #4 WB promo. Same with the French gotta mag pika I sent. I spoke with Diane, one of the CS reps earlier. She told me it was done during verification and Authentication lol. For what reason, who knows

That’s the point I made on the phone today. Waste of time.

I gave up with CGC about a year ago for these reasons and I’m probably one of the few who sent all my errors to PSA

That’s probably what I’m going to start doing with my errors now. Just completely merge my grading to PSA permanently.
