69 bids :smirk:

What would a psa 10 of that go for? Don’t see any sales for one…

$15,000-$20,000

Do you mind sharing what card

I was a poor sap who paid 1700 for mine 2 years ago… so, i’m kinda lowkey happy to break even :upside_down_face:

I mean 20% of psa 10 (or less) doesn’t sound too bad all things considered…

I saw a bgs 9.5 go for $5k. It’s in the same ballpark…

Geez this is probably going to seem abit emontinal but here we go.

I’m mainly a set collector, binders and graded holo sets.

I have many nearly completed graded CGC sets all with the blue label… Some with sub grades and some not - which I didn’t mind.

I have over 300+ cards that I would need to get re-slabbed and ship to CGC from Australia… How can I comfortably send almost my whole graded collection? Insurances… Import fees on the insured value on the way back to me… Rehandling etc.

For me personally it’s really ruined the trust I have for the whole grading process in general for all companies.

With leaving abit of a sour taste in my mouth I’ve really been considering cracking the slabs (taking the L on resale value). Going back to basics and doing binders.

I’m sure I’m not the only one out there feeling abit bummed out about it…

Youtube it. Fly to usa and go in person to cgc and make it a marketing thing for them. They might pay you or do it for free to fo it!

:rofl: The more they keep releasing these clips the more closer my screwdriver and pliers get!

I have to agree a bit here. If I had over 300 cards and complete sets of something really expensive I would go in person myself too.

Talk about a fun event!

I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not like they can reslab 3 million cards just like that. I’m just going to do selected 9.5s and 10s but I’m in no rush.

CGC just posted a video on their Instagram showing off the new label at Card Party which was like 10 days before the announcement :skull:

Well, that was pretty clearly a stupid decision on their part. I’m not sure how they could’ve thought that was a good idea. Like, it’s very obvious how knowledge of the change before the rest of the market could provide an advantage to some market participants. I also think it’s really weird that they released the video without sound. Then again, who cares what influencers think about a new label lol.

There was a $30K sale last year:

I still don’t understand this. You could…just not relabel them?

People act like PSA hasn’t also changed their label in the past also. They went from a 1995 front and 1973 back design to a 1995 front to a 2008 back.

Are yal expecting a similar situation with CGC 9++ to be converted to CGC 9.5 new labels?

I believe they hinted at this in the livestream

I confirmed with them just yesterday that this is not the case. Everything under 9.5 will remain the grade they are currently, regardless of subs

Makes sense I guess. They would have their hands full with all the reslabbing anyway. I bet 9++ cracked would get the 9.5 though I may try it
