Watched the video on his channel, he seems really gutted tbh. Hopefully everyone affected gets reimbursed fully and then they can rebuild.

This is really sad and it seems like it would be an inside job. Sure, thieves will steal anything but id be scrutinizing my employees very closely in this case. I’m sure thats what the police are telling them too.

Probably worth checking out the ebay accounts of employees and their families if you can…

Turns out all of the express tier cards being stolen has really sped up their express tier grading turn around time

I wonder whether ACE DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks their employees.

that would only show unspent convictions, if they had any active court orders and any disqualification iirc so if they had committed a robbery in the past done their time it would become a spent conviction and not appear

There are so many issues, it’s too complex a problem to explain in a forum post. There was continuous cost-cutting post-2008 to begin with and then various interwoven social issues on top of that. Even if numbers of police were boosted back up to pre-2008 levels, I don’t think it would solve all of the issues i.e. how they seem to not want to deal with incidents or unrest involving certain sections of society but will come down on easy targets (my aforementioned example of people posting ā€œoffensiveā€ comments on X, for example) like a ton of bricks.

Everything feels broken tbh… government, politics, policing, social care, local councils. But I’m sure others in different countries will also be able to relate so I should stress that I’m not claiming that the UK is some unique scenario.

A bit of an unusual video due to a lot of rambling regarding Whatnot, PSA, collectacon, his company, and ā€œhow good ACE isā€.

Yeah i was thinking the same not so much of an update as an unregulated splurge of different stuff

Good luck getting local police to investigate any theft in the US. In my few experiences it’s ā€œā€¦ yeah we’ll keep an eye out[snickers to other cops] be ready for a call any dayā€ or an even more sarcastic ā€œyeah we’ll get the grand theft unit on this prontoā€¦ā€

At least one was honest saying there’s not much to go off of or much to do. Luckily my plan of leaving a preparation H coupon in my wallet paid off. Had to cancel my cards, but he got no cash and hopefully felt gross.(sidenote: wouldn’t wish hemorrhoids on my worst enemy, after only one experience. Ugh)

To be fair, the video is ā€œan updateā€ but just most importantly covers the Ace situation.

Credit where credit is due, they did very well compensating submitters so quickly, and doing so directly out of pocket.
