Buyer claims Japanese cards are fake

Im going to venture the speculation that the buyer is calling them fake not to scam, but due to lack of knowledge on the subject… i think the buyer watched pokerevs scammed japanese neo genesis box where the holo would peel off the cards very much like the photo they sent you.

^This. A lot of new, inexperienced people entering the hobby and taking everything they see on youtube as gospel. Selling pokemon cards has become 30% sale/logistics and 70% customer service.

I actually had a collection recently arrive to me inside an old ‘moth ball’ box. Obviously all cards smelled of moth balls. One of the buyers contacted me claiming his card was fake because he could distinctively feel the smell of Chinese factory chemicals, ahahah. I just refunded and didn’t even try to explain. He sent me back a photo of the ripped card and it was obviously a genuine card.

Your buyer is probably just ignorant. What is annoying is that such buyers claim they can tell a fake but never even bother to find out what a genuine card looks like, which means they perpetuate their ignorance and maybe even share it with friends. :slightly_frowning_face:

Another case of moron buyer hopefully you can atleast get the cards back to sell as singles to intelligent buyers.
