Buyer Changes Mind on $3.72m Wayne Gretzky Rookie Sealed Case

According to CBC News, the buyer of the sealed case of 1979-1980 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards has changed his mind and wants to find a different buyer for the case…but thinks he can store the unpaid-for, sealed case in a “vault” run by Heritage that definitely does not exist.

Seems like buyers like this don’t go away even at the very top end of the hobby!

Imagine describing to someone how you chugged four Red Bull energy drinks to keep yourself focused and sharp in order to continue bidding competitively into the wee hours of the morning on a piece of cardboard and then later telling that same person you’re not so passionate about the hobby.
